United States Grand Prix Live - Verstappen on the Hunt from P6 on the Grid, Leclerc Starts from Pole

Verstappen indeed has the position covered and takes his third consecutive US Grand Prix win. Hamilton has to settle for second while Norris takes third, Sainz in the end having nothing to offer the McLaren.

The gap is on less than two seconds, but we're on the final lap and Verstappen will get some DRS from backmarkers. Barring disaster, Verstappen has this covered.

Hamilton is now taking chunks out of Verstappen in the braking zones. Two seconds between them now, but Hamilton is running out of laps here.

Hamilton is marginally faster, but Verstappen looks to have enough of a gap here to manage his position. There's 3.2 seconds between them now. However, Verstappen once more complains about that brake issue.

Sainz is smelling blood and a podium position here. He is taking chunks out of Norris.

Hamilton is taking some time out of Verstappen, but it might not be enough. The gap is on 4.7 seconds.

Leclerc is told to let Sainz pass and he does. Ferrari will be hoping for Sainz to catch Norris here, but Leclerc will be far from happy.

Norris drops a dive bomb, but there's no stopping Hamilton who shoots past into Turn 1 and claims second.

Verstappen is five seconds ahead.

There's the first attack from Hamilton on Norris, but the McLaren defends for his life and holds on to the position for now.

Hamilton is now within DRS range of Norris. The big question here is how quickly he can make a move stick.

Verstappen is flustered here with the Red Bull's brakes which are clearly not working to his liking. He is still gaining on Norris though who will soon get under pressure from Hamilton.

Leclerc is losing out to Sainz and Perez here. The Ferrari driver feels the tyre strategy was not it and he lets his team know.

Mercedes are eyeing at least second, maybe the win here. He is closing in on Norris.

Turn 12 again as Hamilton sets up Leclerc and makes the move down the inside stick to claim third.

Leclerc is still only on a single stop. He is currently just over four seconds ahead of his team-mate Sainz.

Verstappen is made to work for it here, but he is edging away from Norris gradually. He is not enjoying the Red Bull's brakes today though.

Hamilton is setting faster sector times than Norris at the moment. His concerns are around whether his medium tyres will hold and he'll have the compound to fight once he's caught the McLaren. Just over five seconds are between them now.

Things get worse for Leclerc who swiftly also has to surrender to Norris.

The lead is back with Verstappen who capitalises into Turn 1 to claim Leclerc.

Hamilton now heads to the box for medium tyres. He rejoins in fourth, but all cars ahead of him are on the hard compound.

Perez now heads for a fresh set of tyres and rejoins in seventh. Leclerc is now the only driver in the top five on only one stop.
