World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler has won the PGA Tour Player of the Year award for a second consecutive season. The 27-year-old American is the first player to win the award back-to-back since Tiger Woods did it three times between 2005 and 2007. In 2023, Scheffler won the Phoenix Open title, which he also won in 2022, as well as The Players Championship.

Scottie Scheffler has been voted the PGA Tour Player of the Year for the second season in a row.
Scheffler, who defended his WM Phoenix Open title in February and won The Players Championship by five strokes in March, got 38% of the member vote.
The world No. 1 recorded 13 top-five and 17 top-10 finishes in 23 starts this season. He also set the PGA Tour record for most official money earned in a single season, earning a total of $21,014,342 (£16.592m).
The 27-year-old is the first person to win the Jack Nicklaus award in consecutive years since Tiger Woods won it three times in a row between 2005 and 2007.
Wyndham Clark, Viktor Hovland, Jon Rahm and Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy also received nominations.
Eric Cole was awarded the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year.
He was the only rookie to advance to the 2023 BMW Championship and received 51 per cent of the vote for the Arnold Palmer Award.
He took the prize ahead of fellow nominees Ludvig Aberg, Nico Echavarria and Vincent Norrman.
PGA Tour members who played in at least 15 official FedExCup events during the 2022-23 season were eligible to vote on the awards.
The 2024 PGA Tour season begins with The Sentry in Kapalua, Hawaii from January 4-7.
