Tiger Woods withdrew ill from his first tournament back on the PGA Tour during a round at the Genesis Invitational at the Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, California. The veteran had hit five birdies and six bogeys in his first round, where he suffered with back spasms, and he was off the back of two consecutive bogeys and a par in his second round before complaining of dizziness.

'Obviously I got some work to do' - Woods 'excited' despite struggles on golf return

Tiger Woods withdrew ill from his first tournament back on the PGA Tour during a round at the Genesis Invitational.
The American was playing his first event of the calendar year and just his seventh PGA Tour event since the Masters back in November 2020.
Woods, now 48 years of age, has been forced to limit his play time due to constant niggling injuries that have stunted any real comeback.
The 15-time major champion complained of dizziness and feeling unwell as he made his way around the course for his second round.
He had birdied the first hole before suffering two bogeys in a row and a par up to the sixth.
He teed off for the seventh, but called his play to a halt as his ball landed on the fairway.
In his opening round, Woods hit five birdies but also six bogeys, as he sat eight shots off the leader Patrick Cantlay, but the veteran was struggling with back spasms in the later holes.
Rob McNamara, Woods’ business partner, provided an update on the American’s condition.
“He started feeling some flu-like symptoms last night," McNamara said.
"He woke up this morning, they were worse than the night previous. He had a little bit of a fever and that was better during the warm-up but then when he got out there, and was walking and playing, he started feeling dizzy.
"Ultimately the doctors are saying he's got some - potentially some type of flu and that he was dehydrated. He's been treated with an IV bag and he's doing much, much better.
"Not physical at all, his back's fine. It was all medical illness, dehydration, which is now the symptoms are reversing themselves now that he's had an IV."
