Poland booked a World Handball Championship final against close rivals Germany with a 36-33 overtime victory over Denmark in Hamburg on Thursday.
Poland's Karol Bielecki fired past Denmark keeper Kasper Hvidt with just seconds remaining to take the second semi-final of the evening in to overtime.
And as the game entered its 70th minute, the game was still tied after Lars Moller Madsen had dragged the Danes back from a three-goal deficit.
But a quick-fire double from Michal Jurecki helped Poland open a gap the Danes were unable to close in the final minutes.
Bielecki led the scoring for Poland with eight goals, while Lasse Boesen and Lars Christiansen both scored seven for Denmark.
