Lilja looks to protect lead in Sicily

The Trofeo Abarth Selenia Europe season heads to the Pergusa circuit in Sicily this weekend with leader of the class Niklas Lilja will hope to maintain his overall advantage.

The Italian track will also host the National ACI/CSAI Abarth Selenia Trophy Italy in what will be the fifth round of both championships, with the Abarth 695 Assetto Corse Evolution and the Abarth 500 Assetto Corse central to proceedings.
The event is included in a European Touring Car Championship event at the Pergusa circuit, which winds around a lake.
Heading into the weekend Swede Lilja holds a 35-point lead over second-placed Alex Campani of Italy, with another Italian Emanuele Moncini in third, a further 46 points back.
Lilja has scored five wins out of eight races so far this season, with Alex Campani taking victory twice and Luca Anselmi once
In the National ACI/CSAI Abarth Selenia Trophy Italy, Campani leads, with Lilja second and Anselmi third overall. Campani has shown great consistency throughout the season, winning two races and not once failing to reach the podium with five second-places and one third.
Among the Abarth 500 Assetto Corse, young Finn Jusso Pajuranta leads, ahead of Italian Franco Cimarelli in both championships’ rankings.
