Penalty Toulon in front of the posts, just outside the 22. This should be an easy three points for Wilkinson.

Clermont penalised for holding on the floor - Wilkinson kicks for touch from just inside his own half but misses it and Lee Byrne gathers, booting it deep downfield.

Bit of a kicking battle as James and Palisson exchange whacks downfield. In the end, James clatters a huge kick over the Toulon winger's head and it bounces out for a lineout.

Having kicked into opposition territory, Clermont continue to press on. They've got a fearsome pack.

That's a penalty to Clermont following a Toulon infringement at a scrum. Hard to see exactly what happened there but the ref seems certain enough.

Wilkinson offloads to Wulf who injects some pace, but gets isolated as he is tackled and knocks it on.

It's pretty cagey stuff from both sides at the moment but Toulon are starting to work through the phases...

Penalty! Morgan Parra will have a chance to kick the opening points for Clermont from just inside halfway.

Wilkinson takes a high ball and gets a mid-air smash from Bonnaire. He's soon back on his feet.

Game on! Clermont, in white with yellow trim, kick off from left to right. Toulon all in red.

The teams come out to a huge ovation - Landsdowne Road is a small piece of southern France this afternoon...

Wilkinson's pre-match comments: "There is no doubt that where I stand now this is all I have got to play for. That gives you a fair idea of the importance of it to me. I am playing in a one-game-at-a-time situation. To actually get a shot at something like this at this stage in your career is amazing. It was my first semi-final a few weeks back. This is my first final." No pressure, then.

Last night in Dublin, Leinster provided some home success with a comfortable 34-13 Challenge Cup final win over Stade Francais. Doubt this one will be as one-sided.

Two star-studded teams, but of course the focus from an English point of view is on Toulon captain Jonny Wilkinson, who looks to add the Heineken Cup to his list of personal honours. Also starting for Toulon, England internationals Delon Armitage and Andrew Sheridan.
