Hello and welcome to LIVE coverage of Scotland versus England in the second game of this second weekend, where there’s more than just the Calcutta Cup at stake.

Can Scotland take advantage of a changeable France? Which France will turn up? All to be answered in the coming two hours in this evening's second Six Nations game at Murrayfield.

The game ends with a whimper, which seems apt, as Scotland's laborious efforts to get out of their own 22 ends with Duncan Weir sticking it in touch.

Engand, once again, are held up inches from the Scottish tryline by desperate Scottish defence. Multiple phases see England pushed further out from the line and Owen Farrell's behind-the-back, Hollywood pass finds no one in the end.

England go on the attack again in Scotland's half but Jack Nowell's pass finds only the belly of Stuart Hogg.

Cusiter's boot gets the ball out of Scotland's half after the scrum does its job. It's become a grim battle.

England mess up the lineout, giving the ball back to Scotland, who then drop it themselves. But it goes back for advantage blue - though what advantage right now in a scrum for Scotland is debatable.

Scotland's scrum, finally, inevitably, collapses. Farrell sticks the penalty into the corner, still looking for those potentially vital scores.

Johnny May is replaced by Andy Goode for England. Matt Scott is replaced by Duncan Taylor for Scotland. These substitutions are hardly doing anything to improve an already difficult-to-watch game.

Scotland's scrum collapses but they hang on, right on their own tryline. Cusiter kicks from the base of the ensuing ruck but Johnny May collects for England and starts it all over again.

Scotland seem to have found the other solution! England, from a lineout, drive for the line again. Phase after phase inches them closer as the clock ticks towards 70 but -- and it's not clear how -- Scotland have won it back.

An English lineout on five metres sees Scotland infringe YET again, and a penalty try cannot be far away. "Find another solution," says referee Garces. There may not be one ...
