Warren Gatland's Wales side look set to begin the 2024 Six Nations without their skipper Jac Morgan, who has undergone shoulder surgery. Dewi Lake, Adam Beard and Will Rowlands are among those who could stand in for the skipper, as Gatland's men begin their campaign against Scotland on February 3. It is a huge concern for Gatland but there was better news regarding Taulupe Faletau.

Jac Morgan is a major doubt for the 2024 Six Nations after the Wales captain underwent knee surgery.
It is also a huge blow for his club side Ospreys, with head coach Toby Booth revealing that the forward will be absent for “months not weeks”.
Morgan’s injury leaves Warren Gatland’s side without their skipper ahead of their Six Nations campaign, which begins on February 3 against Scotland in Cardiff and concludes against Italy on March 16.
"The operation was a success and the right thing to do - it needed to be done," said Booth in quotes published by BBC Sport.
"He is a young man who heals quickly but the certainty about being a professional player is you know you are going to spend time injured and that resilience will be tested.
"We will look forward to getting him better off the pitch so when he comes back, which will be months not weeks, he will hit the ground running."
Dewi Lake, Adam Beard and Will Rowlands are all being tipped to take the armband in Morgan’s anticipated absence.
Gatland’s selection headaches have also been compounded by the absence of Christ Tshiunza with a broken foot, while Taine Plumtree looks set to miss that Scotland opener due to a shoulder issue.
Meanwhile, Morgan’s Ospreys team-mate Nicky Smith will also miss the next few weeks with a shoulder problem.

There was better news for Gatland concerning Cardiff’s Taulupe Faletau, who is in line for a return next month from a broken arm.
"He's fine," revealed Cardiff head coach Matt Sherratt.
"I spoke to him yesterday; he said his arm is feeling pretty good.
"It's healing well. He's started running, just to try and get his load up. I think it's all going as planned.
"There's no return date, but he's happy with how he's travelling."
