Mirco Bergamasco hobbles off to be replaced by a flanker, Toniolatti, as Italy have used up all their back substitutions. That'll be a concern for Italy heading into the clash with Ireland on Sunday

The US are a little lucky not to find themselves two men down as line judge Wayne Barnes informs Clancy of a penalty against Blaine Scully. Scully put his knee into Mirco Bergamasco's chest off the ball and concedes the penalty. Bergamasco also gets a little talking to about retaliating

Ngwenya breaks for the USA. Just as the US look they are working their way back into this match there is a scuffle on the right wing ...

Parisse breaks for Italy but fails to get the pass off before being hauled down and Italy lose the ball

The US steal the lineout and eventually clear down the line. Only as far as McLean though and Italy run it again. Bergamasco chips upfield but Ngwenya is super speedy for the US and easily gets back to touch down behind his own tryline

This time the ball dows come out of the scrum but a pass goes astray and it will be an Italian lineout 10m out ...

Another penalty is conceded by the US at the scrum and, having only just been warned, they find themselves a man down when Louis Stanfill is sent to the bin

Again the US scrum breaks down. Italy call for the scrum once again. It is too far out for a penalty try but Clancy could send someone to the sin bin. He has a chat with Todd Clever about "far roo many penalties" being awarded against the US

Matekitonga Moeakiola is sent off to the blood bin once again with Shawn Pittman coming back on. Italy put on a huge (revenge) drive in he scrum and earn themselves another penalty when the USA fail to release the ball. Parisse immediately yells "scrum, scrum"

Bad decision from Italy this time as they earn themselves a turnover ball when Italy fail to use the ball before the scrum goes round 90 degrees

The American scrum breaks down again and Italy go for a second chance ...
