40'
Tonga waste their first penalty but quickly win another - this time some 40m out, and just inside the 15m line. With the clock in the red the underdogs will take a chance at picking up some points.
39'
Tonga try to maul the ball upfield from a throw in deep in their own half - they're bogged down in the centre of the pitch and it's all going nowhere, but the All Blacks are penalised for an infringement and it's a penalty to Tonga.
38'
Great tackle on Dagg! The full-back is taken down and spills the ball forwards to end the move.
37'
Nice throw-in by the hosts from the left, and Dagg will be released to have a run on the far side of the pitch...
36'
Carter kicks for touch, All Black throw-in at their own 10m line.
35'
Tonga make a break, with scrum-half Moa breaking through the line and deep into the 22m - but sadly he was marginally offside when he collected the ball from the ruck. Penalty for New Zealand.
34'
A better restart from Tonga and they win the ball back from the kick.

With the pressure now well and truly off, Carter converts from the edge of the pitch to make it 29-0.

ANOTHER TRY FOR NEW ZEALAND! Superb work by Israel Dagg to draw the defence, and his back-handed off-load to Richard Kahui sets the winger up to run the ball in at the corner. Fabulous rugby from the hosts.
31'
The restart kick goes straight out and the All Blacks choose a scrum on the centre circle - they'll have another attacking platform straight away.

TRY! Another try for New Zealand and another for Israel Dagg! The breakaway came from another loss of the ball from Tonga. Toeava sidesteps and finds Williams, who again offloads for Dagg to cross the line near the flag.
28'
Iongi hares down the flank after the dink forward but the ball bounces just out of play. He would have been clean through there.
27'
Tonga build their most promising attack thus far but once more the ballis turned over all too easily.
25'
Israel Dagg is the first All Black to score the tournament's opening try at the Rugby World Cup since Michael Jones in 1991. (Infostrada)
23'
Tonga under siege virtually from the kick-off. All Blacks get the ball over the line once more, but the whistle had already been blown for obstruction against Brad Thorn.
22'
Tonga have only ever scored one try in a competitive fixture against New Zealand. Fly-half Pierre Hola crossed for the solitary five-pointer in Tonga’s 91-7 loss at the 2003 Rugby World Cup. (Opta)

TRY! All too easy for the All Blacks as Isaia Toeava skips inside from the wing and offloads to Kahui, who sidesteps his man and finishes with ease to round off a really classy move!
18'
Cowan's offload is almost intercepted Tonga, but the visitors only succeed in knocking on.
16'
Kurt Morath has a task here with this kick from some 50 metres out. He gets enough distance on it but not the line, and Tonga remain scoreless.
