Jan Hoerl takes first victory of season in Lahti as Aleksander Zniszczol secures podium spot

Jan Hoerl of Austria claimed his first victory of the ski jumping World Cup season whilst Poland's Aleksander Zniszczol made his first podium in Finland. Stefan Kraft of Austria was absent from the event in Lahti but still sits comfortably at the top of the leaderboard on 1578 points. Austria's Jan Hoerl soared to his first World Cup victory of the season in the men's individual large hill in Lahti.
The 25-year-old edged Slovenia's Peter Prevc by 1.9 points in Finland, grabbing the highest-scoring jumps for each round, including a second distance of 134.5 metres.
Prevc took silver with 264.2 points, jumping distances of 128.5 and 131.0 metres on his respective jumps.
Poland's Aleksander Zniszczol clinched his first World Cup podium with bronze.
Zniszczol charged into second after his opening jump and held on for a medal with an overall score of 254.2.
Overall Cup leader Stefan Kraft of Austria was absent from Finland but still sits comfortably at the top of the leaderboard on 1578 points.
