Eva Pinkelnig wins final gold of FIS Ski Jumping World Cup with new hill record, Nika Prevc takes bronze

Eva Pinkelnig secured a 15th World Cup victory of her career to emerge victorious in the final Ski Jumping World Cup of the season in Planica. The Austrian starred with a fantastic opening jump, securing 119.1 points and completed the job with 125.8 points for gold, setting a new hill record in the process. Overall crystal ball winner Nika Prevc had to settle for bronze.

Despite missing the first four events of the season with a knee injury, Pinkelnig now has five golds and 12 podiums to her name this season, clinching second place in the overall World Cup.
Pinkelnig held first place after the opening jump with the furthest distance of the round to clock a score of 119.1 and sealed the deal with a storming 125.8 points for gold.
A 15th World Cup victory was a fitting way to round off a thrilling campaign for the 35-year-old, who set a hill record with a jump of 103.5 m in the second round.
Canada's Alexandria Loutitt was 2.8 points behind for silver whilst home nation hero and crystal globe winner Nika Prevc was forced to settle for bronze in her final event of the season.
