Jimmy Robertson knocked in breaks of 88, 73 and 68 on his way to a 5-2 win over Andrew Pagett, while Rod Lawler scored four half centuries - including a break of 96 - as he beat David Morris 5-3.

Andrew Norman also won 5-3, though his beaten opponent Liu Chuang recorded the highest break of the week so far with a 137.

Grittiest performance of the day came from Adrian Gunnell, however, who edged Sam Baird 5-4 after a final frame duel that lasted over half an hour having knocked in a break of 122 in the penultimate frame to force a decider.
