'What a debut' - 15-year-old Stan Moody makes memorable Snooker Shoot Out debut

Young snooker star Stan Moody has earned a tour card for next season after winning the WSF Junior Championship title in Sydney.
Moody comfortably beat Liam Pullen 5-1 in the final and will be on the snooker circuit for the next two seasons.
The 16-year-old was stronger in all areas against his opponent, showing great composure and shot-making throughout the match.
He dropped just one frame in the round-robin phase of the competition this week with 3-0 wins over Zac Cosker and Christiano de Azevedo, before beating Devlen Brown 3-1.
Moody continued that form in the last 16 and quarter-finals by whitewashing Jayden Dinga and Jake Crofts 4-0.
His biggest test came in the semi-finals against Iulian Boiko, who had earned a tour card three years ago at the age of 14.
In a tight match, there was nothing to separate the pair which set up a decider. Moody held his nerve, making a break of 68 which proved enough to do the damage and reach the final with a 4-3 win.
Pullen had expected to make a big fight versus Moody but was simply outplayed.
The pair will also take part in the main WSF Championship, which begins on Saturday.

How good is Stan Moody?

Moody is a former English Under-14 champion and has made 147s in practice.
He made a name for himself at the 2022 Snooker Shoot Out when he thumped home a red with his first shot and came through the opening round with a 53-27 win over Lu Ning.
Eurosport pundit Jimmy White was full of praise for Moody following his impressive victory last year.
“Fantastic talent,” White said. “I’ve watched him play at Ding’s academy in Sheffield for a week before the World Championship.
