Laurent Dubreuil, Gao Tingyu, Patrick Roest and Irene Schouten grab World Cup glory on final day in Poland

Experienced Canadian Dubreuil turned the tables on Chinese ace Gao Tingyu by upgrading his Saturday silver into gold in Tomaszow Mazowiecki. Olympic 500m champion Gao had beaten Dubreuil, the Beijing 2022 gold medallist over 1000m, by just seven hundredths of a second 24 hours earlier but the North American triumphed by an even smaller margin - 0.06s - on Sunday afternoon.

Laurent Dubreuil grabbed his landmark 30th Speed Skating World Cup medal by battling to 500m glory in Tomaszow Mazowiecki.
The experienced Canadian, 31, turned the tables on Chinese ace Gao Tingyu by upgrading his Saturday silver into gold on the Polish ice.
Olympic 500m champion Gao had beaten Dubreuil, the Beijing 2022 gold medallist over 1000m, by just seven hundredths of a second 24 hours earlier but the North American triumphed by an even smaller margin - 0.06s - on Sunday afternoon.
Home favourite Damian Zurek bagged bronze after a significantly improved performance from Saturday's seventh-place finish.
Reigning world champion Patrick Roest claimed gold in the men's 5000m event with a dominant display in the penultimate race of the day.
The Dutch dynamo crossed the line in splendid isolation as Norwegian Hallgeir Engebraten and Canadian Davide Ghiotto finished over four and six seconds behind.
Japanese star Miho Takagi clinched her second gold medal of the weekend by adding women's 1000m victory to the 1500m title she secured the previous day.
The two-time Olympic champion beat American duo Brittany Bowe and Kimi Goetz in the first A final of the afternoon.
And in the final event of the day, Irene Schouten emulated the exploits of her Dutch compatriot Roest by grabbing women's mass start glory.
The three-time Beijing Olympic champion toppled Canadian Ivanie Blondin and American Mia Kilburg-Manganello to round off a thrilling three days of action in Poland.
