WINNER! Berdych lands a brilliant backhand right onto the baseline, which Roddick can't reach and swiftly challenges. Hawkeye shows the ball clip the line, and that was Roddick's last challenge! Berdych promptly lands a couple of perfectly-placed forehands deep to the right baseline corner for two break-points, and wraps up the match as Roddick sends a hugely disappointing forehand into the net. Desperately disappointing end to the match from Roddick, who get worse and worse throughout the match
5-3
That's not good enough from Roddick, letting Berdych up to 40-0 with barely a whimper. Berdych isn't having to play good tennis at all any more, as Roddick is hitting the ball so haphazardly, and repeatedly failing to hit the lines. He'll have one more chance to break
4-3
Better from Roddick - moving to 30-0 with more aggressive, powerful, but accurate groundstrokes. Berdych shows those soft hands again to drop an angled backhand over the net for 30-15, but Roddick prevents Berdych getting the double-break with his eighth ace of the match
4-2
Berdych seals another comfortable hold as Roddick nets his return at 40-30 down. Time is running out for Roddick to break the Czech player's serve - he'll have two more opportunites in this set

BREAK! Roddick complains that the changing electronic advertising hoardings put him off in his first point of the point, but the American fights back to 15-15. Berdych lands a lovely forehand from the baseline right onto the right sideline, before Roddick loops a forehand wide into the tramlines after a terrific Berdych return to give the Czech two break points! Roddick saves the first with a massive serve, before slicing a defensive smash just wide of the left sideline to concede the break!
2-2
They exchange crosscourt forehands, before Roddick nets from the baseline and slams his racquet into his shin. He can't afford to make those sort of mistakes when he's in a lengthy rally, and soon finds himself 40-0 down after a long, looping forehand return long of the baseline. Berdych seals a hold to love with another ace, and suddenly life is looking pretty rosey for the player from the Czech Republic
1-2
Berdych nets his backhand return to hand Roddick another hold of serve without too much fuss. It's as you were at the start of this set, with serve really holding sway over the set early on. Roddick is out of his chair early - as he has been throughout this tournament - and bristling with energy
1-1
Bedych wraps up a surprisingly comfortable hold with a 136mph ace - his fifth of the match. Roddick's won just 9% of points on Berdych's first serve so far, but the big Czech is only landing 59% of them.
0-1
Really good hold from Roddick at the start of the second set. The momentum has swung behind Berdych now, and the Czech is hitting the ball with the confidence so obviously lacking in the opening set

SET! Berdych makes a wobbly start to the decisive 12th game, with his first double-fault of the match, but soon calms the nerve with a massive overhand forehand of a looping Roddick return. The American bettles back to 30-15, but another enormous serve down the line gives the 25-year-old Czech set-point, which he converts when Roddick nets a backhand from the baseline.

BREAK! This is a competely different Roddick to the player who pushed Rafa Nadal all the way on Monday, hitting the ball without any real aggression and waiting for Berdych to err - and he pays a heavy price for it! Roddick storms to 40-15 up on serve, before trying to thrash in a big second serve and instead committing a double-fault! The American completely loses the momentum, and Bedych seals a surprise break with a beautiful forehand return down the line. Where did that come from?
5-5
Oh dear. Berdych hits a couple of wayward forehands, before giving Roddick two set points with a woeful forehand volley long of the baseline! The Czech saves the first with a perfectly whipped, forehand approach to the baseline corner that Roddick sends back down the line and beyond the baseline, and the second with some dominant net-play - crashing Roddick's lob back down the American's throat. Berdych seals out a crucial hold with a stunning drop half-volley
4-5
Roddick holds to 15, with Berdych repeatedly failing to land his shots by the narrowest of margins. Roddick's consistency is giving him the edge in this match, but that could count for nothing if Berdych can hang on to force a tie-break
4-4
Big statement of intent on the first point of this eighth game, as Berdych hammers his third ace of the match. His first serve is around 63% now, up 20% from after the first couple of games. Much, much better. Berdych drives to the net after a heavy forehand to the right baseline corner, before comfortably slamming Roddick's attempted lob home for 40-30. Roddick gives away the game with a cheap forehand pass into the net after an adequate approach from Berdych.
3-4
Roddick gets a bit of luck to go 40-0 up with thunderous crosscourt forehand from the baseline to the sideline, which is called in and Berdych challenges. Hawkeye shows it caught the line by a matter of milimetres, and Berdych loses a challenge. The American wraps up a hold of serve to love with the metronomic hitting from the baseline.
3-3
Ooof, beautiful tennis from Berdych to go 30-0 up! He drags Roddick from side to side with angled forehands before coming into the net. Roddick hits a passing shot to the big Czech's left, which Berdych somehow dinks back over the net with an acute, angled drop to steal the point. He follows up with an ace, and comfortably wraps up the hold
2-3
Roddick romps to 40-15 with a grit and determination that Berdych just can't match. The Czech looks serene, hitting backhand after backhand into the corner at 30-15, before sending a looping forehandbeyond the baseline in the middle of the rally. Roddick forces him onto the back foot right from the off in the final point, driving him back behind the baseline with a blistering serve before slamming a smash down the line for the game
2-2
Lovely, subtle point from Roddick, dragging Berdych into the net with a perfect backhand drop, and watching Berdych volley his attempted pass into the net. Berdych hauls the American back to 15-15 with a thunderous forehand to the baseline, before closing out the game with some lovely footwork and aggressive forehands, and a huge ace.
1-2
HUGE serve from Roddick to start off the third game, before Berdych chips back to 15-15. One unreturnable serve puts the American 30-15 up, before another ace gives him game point. Berdych does well to get the final serve back over, but Roddick hammers a massive smash right into the Czech's stomach to seal the game. Dominant, confident stuff from Roddick
