GAME, SET AND MATCH! - WAWRINKA 6-3 4-6 6-3 CILIC - The Swiss recovers from a break down in the third to rattle through the last few games to ensure he heads into tomorrow night's clash with Federer on the back of a victory. Cilic completely lost the plot in the last few games and was in real trouble when he teed up double match point with a wayward backhand. The Croat saved one but then double faulted to hand victory to the Swiss.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 4-6 5-3 CILIC - All of a sudden it's looking bleak for Cilic. Wawrinka has got a real spring in his step as he races through a love hold in double-quick time. Marin must now serve to stay in the contest.

BREAK! - WAWRINKA 6-3 4-6 4-3 CILIC - "Come on!" roars Wawrinka as he secures a break that looked highly unlikely for most of the game. Cilic plants down some commanding big serves to lead 40-30 but then sends a simple shot to the baseline long. And it's deja vu seconds later as he repeats the trick to pile a whole load of unnecessary pressure on himself. Wawrinka ups the ante and Cilic buckles, sending a third shot long to put Stan the Man in control.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 4-6 3-3 CILIC - There's nothing riding on this other than pride, but both players are giving it everything. It'd make sense for Stan to get off court and rest up for the all-Swiss clash with Federer tomorrow. He's not letting this go though and pulls off a comfortable hold to level.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 4-6 2-3 CILIC - Some corking play by Cilic as he puts Wawrinka to the sword. A blend of ferocious serving and exquisite line-hitting leave the Swiss watching on in despair as the Croat holds to love.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 4-6 2-2 CILIC - It's a bit of Jekyll and Hyde from both players and it's making this match wholly unpredictable. An easy overhead is planted into the net by Cilic moving Wawrinka into position to level it up. But the Croatian responds with some lovely tennis, including a delightful lob to force deuce. The pair exchange blows before two big serves at just the right moment allow Stanimal to close it out. All square!

BREAK! - WAWRINKA 6-3 4-6 1-2 CILIC - It's an immediate break back and it's met by a roar of delight from Wawrinka - but Cilic will be kicking himself. At 40-15 he's cruising but in-keeping with the fickle nature of this contest, the errors raise their ugly head at just the wrong moment. A rasping crosscourt forehand is ill-advised at break point and the big Croat just misses the line, leaving him to lament what might have been. Wawrinka is back in it and who knows which way this clash will go now...

BREAK! - WAWRINKA 6-3 4-6 0-2 CILIC - Stanimal has lost his concentration and it could well lose him the match. The Swiss is clearly furious at something and double faults at 15-30 to hand Cilic double break point. A trademark backhand winner claws one back but he cracks the next into the net and finds himself with much to do in this decider. This form will hardly have Federer quaking in his boots.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 4-6 0-1 CILIC - The Croatian almost undoes all of his hard work to level with an immediate lapse that sees him produce three unforced errors. Wawrinka has two bites of the cherry for the break but fails to make it count as Marin plunders down the big serves to get out of jail and pull off a big hold.

SET! - WAWRINKA 6-3 4-6 CILIC - It's brilliant from a rejuvenated Cilic as we head towards a third-set decider. The giant Croatian tees up triple set point with some bold play, including a stunning, low crosscourt return from a timid second serve. Wawrinka looks anxious and blows a forehand long to hand the set to his opponent.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 4-5 CILIC - The Croatian has unearthed the big serve that had deserted him in the previous two matches at this tournament. What a shame he didn't come out all guns blazing a few days ago. Who knows where it could have taken him? The heat-seeking missiles leave Wawrinka with very little to play with as a volleyed put-away at the second attempt clinches another simple hold to 15.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 4-4 CILIC - Are we heading for the tie break? It's falling into that pattern where the server is having a lot of joy. Wawrinka rampages through another easy hold as we enter the crucial part of the set.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 3-4 CILIC - The big serves are coming thick and fast. It leaves us with very little to admire in terms of rallies and the games are beginning to flash by. Cilic seems to have found his rhythm and is at least giving Wawrinka something to think about.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 3-3 CILIC - A third and fourth ace of the match do the damage for Stan the Man to ensure we remain on serve. Cilic is showing signs of improvement but Wawrinka's shot-making prowess means he always has a couple of weapons in his armoury when the big Croat comes into the net.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 2-3 CILIC - The towering Croatian is beginning to show occasional glimpses of the talent that saw him crowned US Open champion. A woeful miss on an easy volley puts him under pressure to begin with but he recovers with an array of fine shots, including a deft angled volley, to roar through the next four points and stay ahead.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 2-2 CILIC - A sensational backhand drop shot has the crowd murmuring their delight as Stanimal refuses to give Cilic a sniff. A blistering backhand lands just long but he makes amends seconds later with a fizzing ace to hold to 15.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 1-2 CILIC - It's a routine hold for Marin as he shrugs off a double fault to take the game to 15 and keep his nose ahead at the start of the second set.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 1-1 CILIC - Wawrinka crushes a forehand to the baseline to end Cilic's recovery from 30-0 down with the big Croatian skewing a strange low attempt into the net. Stan looked well on course at 30-0 but suffered another mini blip. It's not been vintage stuff but he's doing just about enough at present.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 0-1 CILIC - At 0-30 it's looking decidedly dicey for the big Croat but he recovers well to hold serve. His first two aces are most welcome and he finishes off the comeback with a ferocious overhead smash. An important moment for Marin in terms of his overall confidence. A break then would have surely seen his head go down.

SET! - WAWRINKA 6-3 CILIC - A love game for Wawrinka sees him seal the set in style when a delightful drop shot bamboozles Cilic who manages to get to it but can't steer the ball inside the line.
