GAME, SET AND MATCH! - MURRAY (4)6-7 4-6 WAWRINKA. Murray threatens to pull off the improbable turnaround as Stan seems to have lost the plot. Two break points go begging for the Scot and when the Swiss turns it around to match point, Muzza smashes his racket in frustration. Wawrinka bottles it again by fizzing long before finally coming through his wobbles thanks to a pair of errors from Murray. Stan will now face Roger Federer in Saturday evening's semi final. Muzza was never at his best and must now regroup in time for next week's Davis Cup final.

MURRAY (4)6-7 4-5 WAWRINKA. Murray suddenly looking pumped up while the bullets off Wawrinka's racket aren't landing. It's a love hold for the Scot. What a strange and sudden change in momentum. Stan with a chance to get it together now as he prepares to try and serve it out at the second time of asking.

BREAK! - MURRAY (4)6-7 3-5 WAWRINKA. A rather flat and tight opening from Stan the Man offers Murray a slight glimmer of hope - and he eventually takes it! The Scot can't make triple break point count but does it at the fourth time of asking, knocking home an overhead after some impressive defence from Stan. Murray is still one break behind, but it's got the crowd going a bit.

BREAK! - MURRAY (4)6-7 2-5 WAWRINKA. It's a double break for Stan and the fat lady has completed her warm up. She'll be out shortly... Another ridiculous backhand pass from Wawrinka tears at Murray core and although he scraps back to 30-30, he lets out a cry of anguish as the Swiss snares the break opportunity. A weak and tired looking shot into the net seals the Scot's fate and Wawrinka will now aim to serve out the match for a place in the semi final.

MURRAY (4)6-7 2-4 WAWRINKA. The Wawrinka backhand is a sight to behold. When Stan brings the wand with him he really is capable of beating anyone. A brace of beauties are followed by a powerful ace as he romps to his own love hold.

MURRAY (4)6-7 2-3 WAWRINKA. Murray hasn't got his sights set on Belgium just yet. He looks reinvigorated with renewed belief he can still turn this around. It's going to take something special but love holds like this will certainly help his cause.

MURRAY (4)6-7 1-3 WAWRINKA. Stan starts off looking very smooth but in the end he needs to fight hard to keep his advantage. The missiles are landing off either flank and a devastating backhand at 15-0 shows just how freely the Swiss is hitting the ball now. Murray looks dead and buried at 40-0 but fights hard to get to deuce before seeing his good work undone by a lob that lands just long as Wawrinka remained unbeatable at the net.

MURRAY (4)6-7 1-2 WAWRINKA. Andy stops the rot to get on the board. He takes a seat and gets a chance to re-focus. Stan had a window to turn up the heat after moving to within a point of deuce with a sweeping backhand, but he couldn't make the most of Muzza's nerves and fizzed just long of the baseline.

MURRAY (4)6-7 0-2 WAWRINKA. Stanimal is going in for the kill here, sensing his opponent's fragility. A smartly struck backhand into the chasm of space on Murray's right flank clinches a love hold and consolidates the break.
