GAME, SET AND MATCH! - MURRAY 6-3 6-2 CILIC. Murray finishes on a high, raising his level in the final few games of the set to triumph in an hour and a half. The Scot seals it with a love hold and despite some nervy moments, this will give him great confidence going into the rest of the week in what is a very dangerous pool of opponents.

BREAK! - MURRAY 6-3 5-2 CILIC. Marin misfires all over the show and offers up two more BPs. Murray seizes the chance and cracks a super crosscourt pass beyond his opponent. That will surely be it. Murray can serve it out next but also has the safety blanket of that double break.
-
MURRAY 6-3 4-2 CILIC. Murray consolidates and that finish line is appearing on his horizon. Cilic only has himself to blame once more. At 15-30 he gets overexcited and unloads a flurry of unforced errors to hand the advantage to the world number one.

BREAK! - MURRAY 6-3 3-2 CILIC. It's taken a while, But Murray has finally warmed to the task. That famous return starts to land in and helps him rack up double break point. Cilic saves one with an ace but has no answer to a crunching forehand to the left flank.
-
MURRAY 6-3 2-2 CILIC. Just what the doctor ordered. No serving ordeal on this occasion. Muzza holds to love with the minimum of fuss. All square.

MURRAY 6-3 1-2 CILIC. Marin recovers from a mini lull at 40-15 to take the game from deuce, despite a corking crosscourt backhand winner from Muzzard. It could easily be the Croatian who is a set up. It's been a close match and Cilic hasn't taken his chances so far.
-
MURRAY 6-3 1-1 CILIC. Murray not at his best but digging deep. It's the type of spirit that has served him so well this year. He faces another test at 30-40 but saves the BP with a thumping serve down the middle T. Cilic may well rue failing to capitalise - and he should have challenged on a shot to the baseline called out as replays showed it had landed in. Let off for Murray.
-
MURRAY 6-3 0-1 CILIC. A Strong start to the second set from Marin. He confidently takes the game to 15, with a cushioned, angled volley the pick of his points.

SET! - MURRAY 6-3 CILIC. The world number one takes a 46-minute set riddled with errors and a lack of winners by serving out to love.
-
MURRAY 5-3 CILIC. Chila poses the serve out question of Muzza with a quick-fire hold to love, finishing it off with a thumping crosscourt forehand. Murray will now serve for the set.

-
MURRAY 5-2 CILIC. Murray just one away from the set, but Cilic is helping his cause with a mix of surprising errors and the odd bit of misfortune from what is surely a British net. Muzza wastes two chances to finish the game but refocuses to take it from deuce. It's not a high class match by any stretch, but no-one in the O2 will care if Murray eventually gets himself past the winning post.
-
MURRAY 4-2 CILIC. Finally a routine hold for Marin. The world number seven lashes down his first ace of the match to seal it to 15. Neither player hitting anywhere near their best form so far.
-
MURRAY 4-1 CILIC. This time Murray consolidates but he has to do it from deuce after fending off another break point with an ace. The Scot fired down double faults three and four of the match but found some consistency when it mattered to tease a crosscourt error out of his opponent and clinch another hard-fought game.
