Hello and welcome to LIVE updates of the ATP World Tour finals round-robin match between Novak Djokovic and David Goffin. The Belgian has been on standby for most of this week but comes in from the sidelines as the first alternative for the final singles session in Ivan Lendl group after Gael Monfils withdrew with a worsening rib injury. The Frenchman had lost his opening two matches.

GAME, SET AND MATCH! - DJOKOVIC 6-1 6-2 GOFFIN. Djokovic is forced to save a first BP but recovers to take it on his second match point from deuce in just one hour and 10 minutes. It's three from three in Ivan Lendl group and moves him one step closer to his dual bid for a record-equalling sixth title and a return to world number one.

DJOKOVIC 6-1 5-2 GOFFIN. Big cheers as La Goff gets another game on the board to 15. Djokovic will now serve for the match. A shame for the crowd that this has been such a disappointing spectacle. Far too easy for the world number two.

A couple of minutes until target number one is in the bag...

DJOKOVIC 6-1 5-1 GOFFIN. It's just a case of whether Goffin can make this more respectable now. The Belgian lands some nice shots but can't put any together in a sequence. Djoker holds to 30. He's one away from a simple victory.

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 6-1 4-1 GOFFIN. Goffin being mercilessly put to the sword. Djoker barely breaking sweat here. A double fault offers up two more BPs and the Serb converts with a crushing crosscourt forehand winner.

Too true.

DJOKOVIC 6-1 3-1 GOFFIN. La Goff is leaking errors now. Djoker doesn't have to work too hard as he consolidates to 15.

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 6-1 2-1 GOFFIN. This is looking like it could be over very soon. It's almost a procession, a nice workout for Djokovic ahead of the weekend's business. He breaks to love and Goffin has the look of a man who knows he's out of his depth.

DJOKOVIC 6-1 1-1 GOFFIN. Djoker lets another 40-0 lead slip to deuce. Is it complacency? Perhaps. A lovely slice dropshot from Goffin plays its role too, but when it matters the Serb wins the key points. He holds from deuce and levels.

DJOKOVIC 6-1 0-1 GOFFIN. Just what David needed. He starts the second set with his most assured service game so far. It's a hold to 15 as he looks to put that opener behind him.

SET! - DJOKOVIC 6-1 GOFFIN. Nole doesn't need to get out of second gear as he clinches the opening set in 37 minutes. He managed just over 50 per cent of first serves in and landed four double faults as well as a fair few unforced errors - and yet he was far too strong for La Goff. A breadstick it is.

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 5-1 GOFFIN. A terrible service game from Goffin. Errors galore tee up triple BP for the Serb who takes it on the final one by pressing the Belgian to stab way long of the baseline under pressure.

DJOKOVIC 4-1 GOFFIN. It's a game that seems to have everything. A double fault, a time violation and a thumbs up from the five-time champion for a piece of Goffin magic. It goes to deuce as seems to have been the way for most of this set, but Novak eventually consolidates with an ace and a first serve La Goff can only hook long.

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 3-1 GOFFIN. Novak strikes first! Goffin is pressed on every point. he can't dig out enough cheap ones off his serve and the Serbinator hones in from deuce. The first BP of the match proves too much pressure to take for the Belgian and he collapses with a double a fault to conclude the game.
