Hello and welcome to LIVE multimedia coverage of the opening match of the 2016 ATP World Tour finals at the O2 Arena in London. First up, it's Novak Djokovic versus Austrian youngster, Dominic Thiem in Group Ivan Lendl.

GAME, SET AND MATCH! - DJOKOVIC 6-7 6-0 6-2 THIEM. Djokovic survives a first set scare to seal a comeback victory over Thiem and get his bid for a fifth straight crown up and running. The Serb found his form at just the right time and was well on top in the final two sets, serving the contest out to love.

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 6-7 6-0 5-2 THIEM. That will surely be that. Nole can see Thiem's edge has gone and piles on the pressure, forcing another error into the net at 30-40 to secure the double break. He'll now serve for the match.

DJOKOVIC 6-7 6-0 4-2 THIEM. The world number two takes another significant step towards victory as he holds to 15. Does Thiem have anything left to suggest he could yet pull off the surprise?

DJOKOVIC 6-7 6-0 3-1 THIEM. A roar of delight from Novak as Thiem unleashes the power long at 40-30 to consolidate the break. the Serb has had to fight hard but is starting to see the finish line.

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 6-7 6-0 2-1 THIEM. The five-time champion has the edge! He uses all of his defensive qualities to fend off the power of Thiem's attack, drawing a pair of tired errors out of his opponent from 30-30 to strike a brutal blow early in this deciding set.

DJOKOVIC 6-7 6-0 1-1 THIEM. The world number two has looked assured on serve for almost all of this match and he doesn't waver here, holding to 30 with a sweeping pass to Thiem's left flank after the Austrian had been pushed from side to side.

SET! - DJOKOVIC 6-7 6-0 THIEM. We are heading into a decider. Djokovic demolishes a strangely subdued Thiem, claiming the bagel with a hold to 15. Two sets of extreme contrast. Is Thiem saving himself? A risky strategy if so. We'll soon find out.

However, the Austrian telegraphs a sliced drop shot in the next point and Nole punishes him, clocking up and converting the BP to take a firm grip of this set.
