FEDERER 1-2 - Djokovic is much more assured on serve in his second game, and he finds a good rhythm without a single double-fault as he holds to remain ahead in this opening set. Federer attempts one too many flashing forehands and misses two attempted winners.
-
FEDERER 1-1 - What a shot from Federer! The Swiss holds serve from 40-15 with a quite sublime whipped forehand winner cross court, and Djokovic stands and admires the shot as Federer levels the match up early in this opening set. The quality of this match is quite staggering already!
-
FEDERER 0-1 - What an opening game to set the tone! Federer trades blows with the Serb from the back of the court and fires a rasping forehand winner to assume a break point at 30-40, but Djokovic saves it with a booming forehand of his own! The third seed bludgeons another to convert his advantage after deuce and, despite two double faults earlier in the game, he holds!
