TSONGA 7-6(6) 6-4 6-4 BELLUCCI: Tsonga wins! Much of the contest was merely a formality, with both final two sets conceeded with the breaks in the very first game of each of them, but Tsonga guarded against his fabled mental walkabouts and routinely booked his place in the third round.
TSONGA 7-6(6) 6-4 5-4 BELLUCCI: Judging by the fact that he serve and volleyed through the entire game, Bellucci seemed to be attempting to end his own misery as soon as possible. But even with his net-allergic opponent permanently planted in his least favourite part of the court, Tsonga still missed a series of returns and forced himself to serve it out.
TSONGA 7-6(6) 6-4 5-3 BELLUCCI: Another game, another hold for Tsonga. The Frenchman moves to within a game of victory with yet more big serving and little else.
TSONGA 7-6(6) 6-4 4-3 BELLUCCI: Tsonga continues to pay little heed to his opponent's service games. A few missed returns, and despite being dazed and exhausted, Bellucci picks up another game.
TSONGA 7-6(6) 6-4 4-2 BELLUCCI: A slight hiccup from Tsonga brings up a break point, but he promptly avoids the unthinkable with an ace before marching on.
TSONGA 7-6(6) 6-4 3-2 BELLUCCI: Bellucci holds, but at the change of ends he looks as defeated by the heat and conditions as he has been by his opponent.
TSONGA 7-6(6) 6-4 3-1 BELLUCCI: Bellucci's break does little to halt Tsonga's concentration, who notches up yet another routine hold.
TSONGA 7-6(6) 6-4 2-1 BELLUCCI: Bellucci opens his account with a routine hold, then calls the trainer. On come the physio, the doctor and the supervisor; a load of talking and little else follows.
TSONGA 7-6(6) 6-4 2-0 BELLUCCI: Tsonga continues to slice his effort in half by serve and volleying, and he does so with aplomb. Another routine game moves the match closer to completion.

SET - TSONGA 7-6(6) 6-4 BELLUCCI: By the end of the set, Tsonga was happily serve and volleying after almost every point; such was the quality of Bellucci's returning. It was a set won after the very first game, but diligently seen out by the tenth seed.
TSONGA 7-6(6) 5-4 BELLUCCI: A peach of a half volley pick-up from Bellucci helps him to his fourth consecutive service game. Bellucci's sevice percentage for the set reads 50%, which is a near-miracle, all things considered.
TSONGA 7-6(6) 5-3 BELLUCCI: Tsonga moves towards the net once again and holds effortlessly. The set continues on its march towards the seeming inevitable.
TSONGA 7-6(6) 4-3 BELLUCCI: The service holds continue to come quickly. You get the feeling that with a break in tow, Tsonga has little interest in anything but holding serve, and another game goes the way of Bellucci.
TSONGA 7-6(6) 4-2 BELLUCCI: Tsonga changes things up with a couple of confident forays to the net, and before long another hold is his. The pair continue to breeze through the first set.
TSONGA 7-6(6) 3-2 BELLUCCI: A couple of break points for Tsonga to land a final death knell in this match up are not converted. Instead, Bellucci digs himself out of the hole and finishes with an uncharacteristically silky forehand volley winner.
TSONGA 7-6(6) 3-1 BELLUCCI: Death, taxes and another hold for Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Some big serves from the Frencman and it's onto the next game.
TSONGA 7-6(6) 2-1 BELLUCCI: Bellucci suddenly finds himself a few first serves again and, in a not unrelated phenomenon, the Brazilian holds with ease. Serve is dominating this match-up with little else in-between.
