GAME, SET & MATCH - DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-4 6-4 MAYER - The No. 2 seed is through. It's a job well done, but Mayer deserves a lot of credit for changing it up following that first-set mauling. Djokovic didn't face a single break point all day and will go into the third round high on conifidence.

BREAK - DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-4 5-4 MAYER - Mayer has played so well in this third set, but he shoots himself in the foot right at the death. Djoko has has been so aggressive on the 1st and 2nd serve return which could have something to do with Mayer double faulting on break point. Nole will now serve for the match.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-4 4-4 MAYER - I think, for the first time in the match, we have a rally that has really entertained the crowd. It's not been a classic match by any stretch of the imagination, but a lengthy rally followed by a close exchange at the net is enough to get the crowd on their feet. Other than that, it's an easy hold for the second seed.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-4 3-4 MAYER - It's certainly not the most entertaining tie you're going to see this week, but it has certainly become more competitive. Mayer has had to adapt to play the Serb and has done so well. Can Nole now do the same in order to get the break and go on to wrap up the match?

DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-4 3-3 MAYER - Another untroubled service game from the defending champion. The Serb's powerful and accurate serves prove too much for Mayer, and he still hasn't had a break point for the duration of the match.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-4 2-3 MAYER - Mayer continues to frustrate Djoko. The Argentine lets a 40-15 lead slip, but the Serb is unable to capitalise and still can't find the early break in this early set.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-4 2-2 MAYER - Despite the short term he has been with the world No. 2, Boris Becker's impact is evident. The Serb is more willing to come to the net and volley. He does so twice in this game to secure another love-hold.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-4 10- MAYER - Mayer is certainly competing now. Following his first couple of service games in which he was broken successively, the Argentine has changed it up on serve, adjusting his game to serve into the body of Djokovic. He holds again

DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-4 1-1 MAYER - Djokovic continues his fine run on serve - not allowing Mayer a single break point in the matchas of yet. His fastest serve of the day - 128mph - wraps up the hold.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-4 0-1 MAYER - Mayer returns from the changeover to serve competently, forgetting that he's on his way out of the season-opening Slam to hold serve.

SET - DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-4 MAYER - Near-perfect service game from Djoko to wrap up the second set. Mayer can't return a single one, and this match is nearing it's conclusion.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 5-4 MAYER - Mayer comes up with the answers, serving impressively to stay in touch in this set. Of course, he'll need to break the Djokovic serve - something of which he's not been able to do yet - if he is to do anything other than go 2-0 down.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 5-3 MAYER - He may have been struggling with the Mayer serve, but Nole has no such problems on his own. He again holds to love and asks Mayer to serve to stay in the set.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 4-3 MAYER - Djokovic is less than satisfied with himself. He works incredibly hard to come back from 15-40 down to engineer a break point, but can't read Mayer's body serve, getting himself in a tangle to dump two forehand returns into the net.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 4-2 MAYER - Djokovic mixes it up on his serve. A couple of body serves are followed by an ace out wide and a rocket down the 'T'. The reigning champion is now winning 83 percent of points on his first serve.

DJOKOVIC 6-1 3-2 MAYER - Apparently Mayer isn't fazed by the speed of which Djokovic is rattling through his service games. The unseeded Argentine serves immaculately on a way to a love-hold.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 3-1 MAYER - Djokovic brings Mayer crashing back down to earth after that mini celebration following the last game. The Serb again races through his service game, not affording his opponent a single point.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 2-1 MAYER - Well done, Leonardo. The Argentine finally gets on the board and receives a huge round of applause from the crowd. He, too, raises his arms in celebration.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 2-0 MAYER - This is utterly relentless tennis from the Serbian. He is affording Mayer no time and is finding the lines every time.
