Game, Set & Match! WAWRINKA 6-3 6-7 (1) 7-6 (3) 7-6 (4) BERDYCH: He's done it! Wawrinka secures his place in a first ever singles Grand Slam final albeit via one or two nervy moments at the end. Ace number 18 puts the Stanimal on course for the victory but it's unforced errors from Tomas that tees up three match points. A double fault of his own leaves him with one more serve to make it count and Stan the Man does just that as Berdych fires a return out of court.

WAWRINKA 6-3 6-7 (1) 7-6 (3) 6-6 (4-1) BERDYCH: Stan races out of the traps but escapes with a 3-0 lead when Berdych's superb attempt at a winner misses by millimetres. The Czech then loses the plot on his serve to double fault and leave himself staring down the barrel of a defeat.

TIE BREAK - WAWRINKA 6-3 6-7 (1) 7-6 (3) 6-6 BERDYCH: Everything starts to point towards a potential break as Wawrinka is upset by anything from line calls to moths on the court. But when the pressure cranks up he delivers a spellbinding winner to move clear at 40-30. Another stunning shot is blocked by Berdych who can only shrug in frustration as it dips into the net. Tie break number three is next up!

WAWRINKA 6-3 6-7 (1) 7-6 (3) 5-6 BERDYCH: A tentative return from Wawrinka lands plum in the middle of the net to put the Czech 40-0 up. Stan seems rattled and complains about an interruption from the crowd before fizzing a thumping shot millimetres wide. The temperature is rising courtside and Wawrinka needs to regain composure if he's to force a tie break.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 6-7 (1) 7-6 (3) 5-5 BERDYCH: The Czech has his opportunities but lets Stan off the hook to lead 30-15. The Swiss raises his level and claims two cheap points to win the game. Are we heading for a third tie break?

WAWRINKA 6-3 6-7 (1) 7-6 (3) 4-5 BERDYCH: The Birdman steps up to the plate and delivers a superb service game, leaving Wawrinka with few openings. The Swiss does let rip with a sensational crosscourt winner but it's as good as it gets for him as the world number seven holds to keep it tight at the business end of this set.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 6-7 (1) 7-6 (3) 4-4 BERDYCH: A couple of close calls go against Berdych and his dismay is evident. At 0-15 a challenge is won by Wawrinka and after the Swiss sneaks into a winning position, the Czech fires just wide to hand him the game.

WAWRINKA 6-3 6-7 (1) 7-6 (3) 3-4 BERDYCH: When the first serve flies in and he can expose his opponent out wide, Berdych can be almost impossible to return against. The problem is it can misfire quite badly in equal measures, particularly under pressure. On this occasion, it works a treat and he holds to 15 when Wawrinka miscues a shot down the line rather badly.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 6-7 (1) 7-6 (3) 3-3 BERDYCH: Stan's quota of winners must have gone up a notch as he produces two sensational cross court shots before edging the game with a trademark backhand.

WAWRINKA 6-3 6-7 (1) 7-6 (3) 2-3 BERDYCH: A 20th ace of the match gets Berdych out of the mire at 30-30. He follows it up with a blistering crosscourt winner to edge ahead in the fourth. Still too hard to predict which way this one is going to go.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 6-7 (1) 7-6 (3) 2-2 BERDYCH: Wawrinka eases to a routine game to love, making it just 10 points played in his fourth-set service games thus far. Berdych is already in the high 20s.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 6-7 (1) 7-6 (3) 1-2 BERDYCH: A thunderous smash gets Tomas off to a flyer and provides him with the impetus to ease to a hold to 15. A sizzling forehand finishes it off in real style. Wawrinka scrutinises the line but then thinks better of a challenge.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 6-7 (1) 7-6 (3) 1-1 BERDYCH: We could well see a break or two in this fourth set. Wawrinka holds to 30 when Berdych fires long but it wasn't the free flowing, efficient service game we were seeing in the second and third sets.
-
WAWRINKA 6-3 6-7 (1) 7-6 (3) 0-1 BERDYCH: Buoyed by the tie break success, Wawrinka sets about claiming only the second break of the match. He piles on the pressure at 30-40 but Berdych responds with an ace. It's a bit hit and miss with the Czech at the moment and he follows that up with a double fault and then another ace. After a sixth deuce the game passes the 16-minute barrier before an 18th ace is followed by a Wawrinka miscue into the net. A huge hold for the Birdman.

SET! WAWRINKA 6-3 6-7 (1) 7-6 (3) BERDYCH: Stanimal makes a dominant start to the third-set tie break but ends up being pegged back when he loses one of the points of the match. He can't quite hit a winner on the run after some great defensive work but Berdych lets him off the hook with a double fault. A 123mph serve then offers up three set points for the Swiss and he's handed it on a plate when the Bird Man double faults at the worst possible moment.
