GAME, SET AND MATCH! - BAUTISTA AGUT 6-4 4-6 3-6 6-1 3-6 BERDYCH. A couple of aces and a winner up the line tee up triple match point for the sixth seed. He plunders a forehand long to waste the first but comes out stronger in a fine rally to conclude a really testing contest. It's Federer or Goffin next for the Birdman in the last eight.

BAUTISTA AGUT 6-4 4-6 3-6 6-1 3-5 BERDYCH. A sixth ace of the night clinches a love hold in super quick time. Over to Tomas to try and serve this out at the second time of asking. Credit to Roberto for making a fist of this when all looked lost.

BREAK! - BAUTISTA AGUT 6-4 4-6 3-6 6-1 2-5 BERDYCH. Hello!? Tomas can't make it count at the first attempt and we'll have some more tennis courtesy of a surprise break from Roberto! The Spaniard had looked done, but has clawed a break back. Are we in for another twist here?

BREAK! - BAUTISTA AGUT 6-4 4-6 3-6 6-1 1-5 BERDYCH. The Czech looks all set for the last eight after being made to work really hard to see off the Spaniard. Bautista was many people's favourite coming into the decider, but the Birdman re-energised himself and has a double break. He'll serve for the match next.

BAUTISTA AGUT 6-4 4-6 3-6 6-1 1-2 BERDYCH. We are in a decider. Berdych fell apart in the fourth and the shock is on here. With serve early in the fifth.

BAUTISTA AGUT 6-4 4-6 3-6 3-1 BERDYCH. A topsy-turve encounter looks like it could be going the distance. Berdych gets on the board with a hold to 30 but he must be feeling very frustrated with his start to this set after working hard to get himself into a strong position.
Bautista 6-4 4-6 3-5 Berdych. There's so much more energy in this game than in the Djokovic v Simon epic, over the road. But it's Bautista's ball into the net that tightens Berdych's grip on the game
Bautista 6-4 4-6 1-1 Berdych. Berdych has come back to extend the match by a set, and we're one apiece in the thirds set. Today may be proof of how much harder the competition is going to be from here on.

Bautista 6-4 4-5 Berdych. Might be worth making your way over to the Margaret Court Arena if you're stuck in the Djokovic v Simon stalemate at the Rod Laver Arena. We are seeing a much more aggressive, risky match, here.

Bautista 6-4 2-3 Berdych. Having made a sluggish start to go a set down pretty quickly, Berdych is looking lively now, really capitalising on his serve to come back.

Bautista 6-4 0-1 Berdych. Berdych hit some lovely shots there in an energetic rally and holds his serve.

Bautista 6-4 Berdych. Bautista made light work of that, winning the set in just 32 minutes.
Bautista 5-4 Berdych. Bautista is serving for the set now. That will be swift if he manages it - well, at least compared to Djokovic and Simon.
Bautista 4-2 Berdych.Bautista has the edge on this set
Bautista 0-1 Berdych. We're underway and Berdych holds his serve.
Lleyton Hewitt just finished up his Australian Open career in this very court, incidentally, leaving the men's doubles competition in the third round.
Berdych from the Czech Republic is ranked No.6 and reached the semi finals in last year's competition. Bautista Agut is No.21, his best performance here was the fourth round in 2014.
