Murray and Sousa are on court - the world number two is welcomed with whoops.

Andy Murray takes on Joao Sousa on the Margaret Court Arena in the first game of the evening session. They're familiar foes, of course, and the Portuguese is seeded 32nd in this Slam.

Monfils 7-5 6-3 6-2 Robert. He probably thought he was going to get an ace there, as Robert extended wide to return the serve, he gets a touch to it but the return is out. Game, set, match to Monfils, who goes on to the next round.

Monfils 7-5 6-3 5-2 Robert. Apparently he will, and Monfils will have to wait it out for his serve

Monfils 7-5 6-3 5-1 Robert. That's how you do it. Monfils blasts a couple of aces past Robert, finishes off with a drop shot, will Robert put up a fight here?

Monfils 7-5 6-3 3-0 Robert. Monfils taps the ball over the net to take another game. Robert is looking tired from the ground he's having to cover on the court, I'd be surprised if his point scoring took an upward trajectory at this stage.

Monfils 7-5 6-3 Robert. Monfils wins the second set in 34 minutes - 10 minutes quicker than the first set.

Monfils 7-5 4-3 Robert. Stephane Robert making this look more like the hokey-cokey than a grand slam, securing a point from behind his own back, through the legs then on to a passing shot. Mofils still has the edge.

Ferrer 6-1 6-4 6-4 Johnson. But it's all ok, because Johnson can't break his serve. Ferrer wins game, set and match and goes through to the final 16.

Ferrer 6-1 6-4 5-4 Johnson. All starting to get a bit scrappy over on Court 2. Ferrer just two points from the next round, gave the game away with some faults that just made him look a bit like he was on the ropes. He's serving for the match now.

Monfils 5-5 Robert. That was exciting. A cracking rally between the two men covering the whole court, both hoping to outwit the other with some well-deployed drop shots and spin. Robert just sends it wide of Monfils' left service court.
