GAME, SET AND MATCH! - DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-2 6-2 POUILLE. Well, that was a masterclass. Djokovic breaks again to seal a very efficient straight sets victory in just one hour and 23 minutes. Lucas Pouille never threatened the world number one who cruised into his seventh Australian Open final after coughing up just five unforced errors. The Serb will meet old rival, Rafael Nadal on Sunday bidding to maintain his perfect record in finals here and become the all-time record for most titles at this tournament.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-2 5-2 POUILLE. Lucas has simply been overwhelmed. He's made little impression on the Nole serve since game one of the match. The Serb blitzes to another perfect hold. He's been irresistible.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-2 4-2 POUILLE. That's Pouille's best moment of the match, but it's far too little, too late. He digs out a love hold as Nole seemingly takes his foot off the gas.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-2 4-1 POUILLE. Djokovic takes a seat after yet another love hold. He may well be readying his words for the post-match interview. No way back for Pouille at this juncture - but it's pretty much felt like that since the second game of the match.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-2 3-1 POUILLE. Djoker roars with delight as Pouille dumps another approach into the net. It earns the Serb the breakthrough in Set 3 after he had again pushed Pouille to deuce and forced the French star to crumble under the incessant pressure.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-2 2-1 POUILLE. Djokovic saunters through another serene love hold. He's painting the lines with some of this ground strokes today. Imperious stuff.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-2 1-1 POUILLE. Lucas is still plugging away. He's just being completely outclassed. The Frenchman earns a ripple of warm applause for battling to a hold from 15-30 down, but it's hard to see him turning the tide in any significant way from here.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-2 1-0 POUILLE. Pouille is highly regarded on the tour for bringing plenty variety to the court, but no matter what he tries here, Djokovic has the answer. The Serb hits back from an early lull at 15-30 to reel off the next three points and open Set 3 as expected.

SET! - DJOKOVIC 6-0 6-2 POUILLE. Nole is like a dog with a bone. He just won't let go and allow Lucas to build any sort of rhythm. The Frenchman has chances at 40-30 and from deuce, but can't string a couple of winning points together. Djokovic wears him down and breaks again to take another set with the minimum of fuss.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 5-2 POUILLE. Nole empties his pockets of a couple of tennis balls and walks to his chair having barely broken sweat. It's another love hold for the Serb, who is now one game away from a two-set lead.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 4-2 POUILLE. Lucas looks in trouble again at 15-15 as Djokovic moves in for the kill at the net. However, the Serb shows he is human after all by dumping a make-able volley into the net.

Pouille seizes the gift of the surprising error and manages to pull off the hold from there to keep his slim hopes of turning the set around alive for a little longer.

DJOKOVIC 6-0 4-1 POUILLE. This semi final is passing Pouille by. Djokovic consolidates with a love hold and looks keen to get this done and put his feet up ahead what will surely be a tougher contest on Sunday.
