It’s great to see smiles around during the heat of battle.
Paul conjures up break point and asks his coach where he thinks Shelton is going to serve. He gets a ‘T’ sign and then looks embarrassed when the youngster delivers a wide ace.
Shelton and Paul both chuckle at length before Shelton unloads a pair of ferocious forehands to wriggle out of danger and stay in touch.

PAUL 7-6 6-3 5-7 3-1 SHELTON
Well, this match was all about Tommy Paul up until about 20 minutes ago. The world No.5 was two sets and a break up on his young compatriot but suddenly got a case of the jitters. Shelton took full advantage and broke Paul from 30-up at 5-6 to snatch the third.
However, Paul hit back instantly in the fourth to break in the opening game and has just rattled through a love hold to lead 3-1.
