What a match. Another great battling display by Schiavone but in the end Wozniacki, out hit for a set and a half, did brilliantly well to weather the storm and eventually come out on top. Her reward? A clash with another player in blistering form - Li Na.

WOZNIACKI 3-6 6-3 6-3 - GAME, SET & MATCH - Schiavone runs out of steam and hand Wozniacki a fourth match point with a forehand long of the baseline. And this time the Dane does wrap up the match. Schiavone's off-forehand across court is called just wide before being over-ruled by the umpire. Wozniacki was right there though and is sure it was out. And even Schiavone thinks it is out. Sure enough it was just out, confirmed by hawkeye. And Wozniacki is through to the semi-finals

WOZNIACKI 3-6 6-3 5-3 - BREAK - The Italian sends a tired-looking backhand long of the baseline to squander the break point but earns herself a second with a backhand winner down the line after a series of inch-perfect cross court backhands. And this time Schiavone does get the break back, a forehand smash across court forcing Wozniacki to send a forehand wide down the line!

Schiavone steps inside the baseline to save a first match point with a backhand winner whipped down the line. And she also saves the second with a forehand passing shot winner after stunning the crowd with her defensive skills. Wozniacki pratically played the perfect point there. A backhand drop shot into the net from the Italian hands Wozniacki a third chance but again Schiavone saves it with a half-volley drop shot winner! And she even goes on to earn herself a break point ...

WOZNIACKI 3-6 6-3 5-2 - BREAK - Fantastic from Wozniacki as she somehow picks up a half-volley on the baseline and whips it over Schiavone's head for a top-spin forehand lob that the Italian cannot get back to. Schiavone really is looking tired now as she conceded that break point with a poor drop shot that fell short into the net
-
WOZNIACKI 3-6 6-3 4-2 - The world number one races into the net before whipping away a cross court forehand winner at an angle before going on to hold and edge ever closer to the semi-finals, Schiavone sending a forehand long
-
WOZNIACKI 3-6 6-3 3-2 - Schiavone manages to find something in her reserves as she holds with a cracking forehand winner down the line after working her way into the net. She is still in touch in this final set and you never know quite what the Italian is going to do next. This is by no means won yet for Wozniacki
-
WOZNIACKI 3-6 6-3 3-1 - Wozniacki does brilliantly well to get up to a half-volley dinked over the net by Schiavone. The Dane's forehand down the line is pushed just wide though and Schiavone goes on to set up another break point, from deuce, when a Wozniacki backhand catches the top of the tape and rolls back onto her side of the net. Schiavone hits wide down the line to squander it and Wozniacki goes on to hold with a forehand smash winner and an Italian forehand error

WOZNIACKI 3-6 6-3 2-1 - BREAK - Schiavone saves a first break point by ghosting into the net and firing off a high forehand volley winner. But Wozniacki re-establishes her break lead at the second attempt, riffling a forehand winner straight down the line much to the frustration of the Italian, who slaps the net on her way back to the chair for the change of ends

WOZNIACKI 3-6 6-3 1-1 - BREAK - Much better from Schiavone as she races up to the net to drill a forehand passing shot winner down the line and earn herself three break back points. But she only needs the one as she lassos a forehand return of serve winner across court to get things back on level terms once again. Can she keep it up throughout the set though?

WOZNIACKI 3-6 6-3 1-0 - BREAK - The Italian now is really stuttering mentally, and who can blame her? She must be exhausted. But a double fault hardly helps her cause and she sends a forehand long across court to hand Wozniacki an early break at the first attempt in this final set

WOZNIACKI 3-6 6-3 - SET - We are back on level terms. Schiavone sends a forehand down the line into the net to hand Wozniacki to set points before a forehand return down the same line goes wide and a little long to help the Dane level up despite opening that game with a very soft double fault. That's five games in a row now for Wozniacki and she forces the deciding third set

WOZNIACKI 3-6 5-3 - BREAK - Wozniacki is really making a move now as she moves 15- 30 ahead with an inch-perfect forehand return of serve down the line before a backhand drive volley down the opposite line goes for a winner. And the Dane sets up another two break points with a sensational, dipping forehand passing shot that Schiavone can only return into the net. And sure enough Wozniacki does break with a forehand volley across court that goes for a winner after catching the net
-
WOZNIACKI 3-6 4-3 - Schiavone bounces back to take the first point against the Wozniacki serve with a forehand volley winner but the Dane goes on to hold, producing a cracking top-spin backhand lob winner before charging into the net and eventually forcing the passing-shot error from the Italian as she holds to level up

WOZNIACKI 3-6 3-3 - BREAK - A couple of shocking errors from Schiavone, including two off-forehands wide into the tramlines hand Wozniacki three break back points. And she races up to the net only to fire a high forehand into the net to hand the Dane the break back at the first attempt. We're back on serve in this set
-
WOZNIACKI 3-6 2-3 - Schiavone comes up with a cracking cross court forehand passing shot winner after Wozniacki had left the court wide open by running around her forehand approach shot on the line. That levels up at 30-30 for the Italian and she is allowed to level up at deuce two points later after a double fault from the Dane. Still Wozniacki goes on to hold when Schiavone hits into the net and the world number one is just clinging on to this match. Just.
-
WOZNIACKI 3-6 1-3 - Wozniacki had the tape on her left thigh re-applied during the change of ends because it was too tight but she continues to struggle with it throughout the game and takes it off completely before thumping a backhand winner down the line to deny Schiavone on her first game point. But Schiavone goes on to hold by once again pushing Wozniacki around the court before finding a forehand winner

WOZNIACKI 3-6 1-2 - BREAK - Wozniacki is left scambling around the baseline once again before hitting into the net for the first point of the game. And she hits another backhand into the net on the second before Schiavone earns herself three break points with a net cord that takes the ball up over Wozniacki's racquet at the net for a passing shot winner. The first goes begging when Schiavone hits into the net but she gets it at the second when Wozniacki hits an off-forehand wide
-
WOZNIACKI 3-6 1-1 - Schiavone does well to get herself out of a potential spot of bother at 15-30 down by moving Wozniacki from side to side and eventually opening up the court for the easy backhand volley and she goes on to hold, without dropping another point, with a serve down the centre of the court that the Dane can only return into the net
