GAME, SET & MATCH - KERBER 6-3 0-6 6-2 GAJDOSOVA - Kerber wraps up the match in comfortable fashion. She powers her way to 40-15 and seals the deciding set with an ace down the middle. Gajdosova has a wonder over to the 'T' and looks like she might challenge it, but continues to the net to shake Kerber's hand. Comfortable in the end for the ninth seed.

KERBER 6-3 0-6 5-2 GAJDOSOVA - A love service game for Gajdosova, there. The ninth seed will now serve for the match.

KERBER 6-3 0-6 5-1 GAJDOSOVA - The sixth game of this set ebbs and flows, with both women handing their opponent opportunities to take the game. It hangs in the balance at deuce before Kerber unleashes an unstoppable winner from the baseline. That gives the impetus to go on and take the game. Gajdosova will serve to stay in the match.

KERBER 6-3 0-6 4-1 GAJDOSOVA - No, we're not going to be treated to another bagel. Gajdosova finds her range with her serve, allowing Kerber just one point as she finally gets on the board in this third set.

KERBER 6-3 0-6 4-0 GAJDOSOVA - Gajdosova has a break-back point 30-40, but lofts the return some distance past the baseline. That's the only chance she gets, however, as Kerber serves well from deuce, wrapping up the game. Are we going to have another bagel?

BREAK - KERBER 6-3 0-6 3-0 GAJDOSOVA - Oh dear. This is a topsy-turvy match, that's for sure. Gajdosova attempts to will herself on to make the hold, greeting two consecutive winners with a "come on!" She's 30-0 up but somehow manages to lose the game. Kerber has a double-break cushion and will feel confident of wrapping up this set now.

KERBER 6-3 0-6 2-0 GAJDOSOVA - Kerber consolidates the break with a solid hold of serve. She doesn't give Gajdosova a chance of grabbing a break back, racing to 40-0 before seeing out the game with an ace out wide. A must-win game for the Aussie now...

BREAK - KERBER 6-3 0-6 1-0 GAJDOSOVA - Kerber breaks her opponent in the first game of the third and final set. It's a really important break, too, as it gives her a little belief and a lot more confidence. This final stanza looks like it's going to be a thriller.

SET - KERBER 6-3 0-6 GAJDOSOVA - Quite incredible. You'd have thought it was Kerber that suffered the injury in the opening game of this set judging by the way she is playing. The German has a number of chances to save the bagel, but can't quite get over the line and is broken once more.

KERBER 6-3 0-5 GAJDOSOVA - Gajdosova consolidates the double break with the easiest of holds. Kerber will serve to try and save the bagel.

BREAK - KERBER 6-3 0-4 GAJDOSOVA - I don't know where Kerber's confidence has gone, but she'll need to find it again quickly because Gajdosova is running away with this set and will take the momentum into the deciding set - which is looking certain to happen. Controlling play from the baseline, Gajdosova seals the double break.

KERBER 6-3 0-3 GAJDOSOVA - Gajdosova continues to play the better of the tennis after that injury in the opening game of this set. She's having tremendous success when serving out wide to set up a simple volley at the net. Great start to this set from the Australian.

BREAK - KERBER 6-3 0-2 GAJDOSOVA - The medical time out seems to have affected Kerber more than Gajdosova. The German simply feeds the balls to the Aussie, throwing away her service game to hand the home-favourite the simplest of breaks.
