Madison Keys and Ana Ivanovic begin the evening session on the Rod Laver Arena. This should be a tightly fought contest - the American is seeded 15th, the Serb 20th.

Kerber 6-1 6-3 Brengle. She needn't have been frustrated - Kerber is through to the next round. A hard-fought game with some good rallies, Brengle deserves more credit than the score line might suggest. "I'm very happy about my performance - is great to be here on court again" says Kerber.
