Good morning and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE coverage of the Australian Open. It's Day Two of the first Grand Slam of the year and Naomi Osaka is up against Magda Linette. They should be on court soon.

OSAKA IS THROUGH 6-4, 6-2! Very, very good display from the US Open champion and on this basis she will be a contender to pick up her second Grand Slam title here! There was a real gulf in quality between Osaka and Linette, who has disappeared from the court very quickly.

*LINETTE 2-5 Osaka (4-6): It's almost done and dusted here. There is a real gulf in quality between these two players, with Osaka finding the line with a forehand on break point. She will serve for the match.

Linette 2-4 OSAKA (4-6): The world number four is in a hurry as she holds to love. Osaka looks so comfortable, like she was born to play on this stage. Every shot is hit with so much certainty.

*LINETTE 3-2 Osaka (4-6): Linette stays in touch with Osaka. The US Open champion had an opportunity at 30-30, but the lob allowed Linette to put away the overhead and she saw out the game.

Linette 1-3 OSAKA* (4-6): The Polish player just doesn't have the weapons to trouble Osaka. The winners are flowing off her racquet and she takes a commanding lead in this second set.

*LINETTE 1-2 Osaka (4-6): It's starting to feel like this could be over very quickly. Osaka gets the break early at the start of the second set and she is taking a real grip of things on Rod Laver.

Linette 1-1 OSAKA* (4-6): Fantastic from Osaka, who has really foun her groove very quickly here. Great court coverage from the world number four. Linette just can't get past her.

*LINETTE 1-0 Osaka (6-4): Linette needed that to give her a foothold in this second set and just to settle her after what was a difficult opening set!

FIRST SET TO OSAKA! Very impressive from the US Open champion, who clinches the first set 6-4. And that was allowing for a break for Linette as well! Osaka is finding good length on her ground strokes, she's moving well and showing good touch as well.

Linette 2-4 OSAKA*: That's magnificent tennis from the US Open champion. Some great hitting combined with some excellent touch at the net and Linette just has no answer to that.

*LINETTE 2-3 Osaka: Osaka looked visibly disappointing at allowing her lead to slip and so she hits back straight away. That's three straight breaks of serve we have seen. Can Osaka consolidate this time?

Linette 2-2 OSAKA*: Well, that's disappointing from Osaka. She doesn't look totally comfortable with things early on and allows Linette to break back. Back on serve early on in this first set.

*LINETTE 1-2 Osaka: An early break for Osaka! She brought up three break points at 0-40 with a couple of sensational forehand winners and she takes the third one to take control.

Linette 1-1 OSAKA*: An emphatic hold from the US Open champion, sealed with an ace. That's a good sign for Osaka that she has settled into things early on here. Pressure on Linette again.

*LINETTE 1-0 Osaka: The Polish player gets the service hold under her belt to start. Osaka just setting her range with a couple of double handers, but she's a little bit wayward early on.
