GAME SET AND MATCH NADAL - Nadal hits a series of huge forehand winners to go 0-40 up. He wastes the first match point, but Dodic hits his shot long on the second and the Spaniard marches on to the final.

A comfortable hold for Nadal, who is only one game away from reaching the final. Unforced errors from Dodig prove to be his undoing again.

Some brilliant winners from Dodig as he holds off the Nadal onslaught. He's coming to the net more and more, which is proving to be an effective ploy at the moment.

Dodig goes 15-40 up, but can't take advantage as Nadal ups the tempo and hits a couple of top-spin winners that Dodig can't get close to.

NADAL BREAKS - Just too good from Nadal, who whips a huge forehand down the line to make a break of serve for the third game in a row.

DODIG BREAK - The game goes to deuce and Dodig gets a break point with some tremendous hitting from the back of the court. He then hits an unbelievable passing shot which just nicks the service line to take the game.

NADAL BREAK - Wonderful drop-shot from Dodig, taking a leaf out of Gael Monfil's book, who hit that shot to varying degrees of success against Nadal yesterday and some great rallying, but the power of Nadal is just too much.

The Spaniard takes the first game to 15. Dogic appears to have changed his t-shirt to match the more garish yellow colour Nadal is wearing.

SET TO NADAL - Nadal breaks the Dodig serve for the third time. Dodig hits a double-fault to give Nadal a double set point, then follows it up with a failed drop-shot into the net.

Some huge forehands from Nadal. Dodig mangages to getto deuce, but a couple more unforced errors gives Nadal a chance to take the set in the following game.

NADAL BREAK - Some effective serve vollying from Dodig again, but too many unforced errors gift the game to Nadal, who is happy to wait for his opponent's mistakes.

A comfortable game to love from Nadal. He looks angry with himself for letting his lead slip.

Dodig holds serve to win his third game in a row. Nadal had only dropped 10 games in the tournament before this match.

Dodig breaks back! At 15-40 Nadal hits a forehand just long. Dodig’s done brilliantly to get back into this so early.

Some big hitting from both players, but Nadal is controlling the game from the centre of the court. Dodig serves and volleys to good effect and holds for his first game of the match with an ace.

Dodig is yet to win a point yet as he makes a series of unforced errors in what has been an extremely comfortable start for Nadal.

Opening game to Nadal in what is an easy break to love. He jumps straight onto the Dodig serve and simply overpowers him from behind the baseline.
