TSONGA 6-3 6-4 - GAME SET AND MATCH! Tsonga pulls out some of his better tennis as a deft forehand drops just too short for the moving Garcia-Lopez. Two match points now as GL backhands wide at the net when Tsonga left him open for the winner... Down to one match point as Tsonga weakly foerehands into the net. Taken with an ace.

TSONGA 6-3 5-4 BREAK! Indeed, Tsonga has found another level of play as he bullies Garcia-Lopez to 15-40, the slow hand-clapping working him up to a break that he takes with an open forehand that GL weakly spins wide. Tsonga serving for the match.

TSONGA 6-3 4-4 Strong hold from Tsonga, who was woken up by that break and is on a power-roll.

TSONGA 6-3 3-4 - BREAK! That woke Tsonga up as he moves into a 30-0 lead with a violent forehand, but GL spins one into the corner to bring it back. Only delaying the break-back though as Tsonga smacks one wide of the Spaniard to 'level'.

TSONGA 6-3 2-4 - BREAK! Garcia-Lopez puts in some ferocious backhands, winning with a cute volley at the net, and he's 30-0 up against serve... But a light-speed serve claws one back. And a mistake from Tsonga when he was looking for a winner after a weak return - and it's two break points! And long from Tsonga and it's a break to the Spaniard!

TSONGA 6-3 1-2 Solid hold for Garcia-Lopez, who shows good speed to get to the net at his volleys this time. The one point he did drop was to a gliding backhand volley at the net from Tsonga, ever the crowd-pleaser.

TSONGA 6-3 1-1 Second serve ace from Tsonga to save break point after lets on his first two serves. And another! Tsonga has the advantage, having won back three break points - his fifth so far - and he holds as Garcia-Lopez nets a return.

TSONGA 6-3 0-1 Garcia-Lopez exploits some shoddy serving to race 30-0 up against serve, but Tsonga pulls a big serve out of the hat for 15-30 - and he follows that up with a double-fault! Two break points to Garcia-Lopez as the home fans slow-clap... ACE. 30-40... And another booming serve to deuce. Tsonga serving his way out of trouble again. But he double faults and another break point to Lopez!

TSONGA 6-3 0-1 Garcia-Lopez drops a point with a backhand into the net, lack of discipline at the line and he knows it. Another poor shot from the Spaniard allows Tsonga back to 40-30. But he puts away a forehand at the net, with Tsonga stranded, to hold.

TSONGA 6-3 - SET! Tsonga serving for the set now, with newish balls too... he clips a backhand long after a curling forehand from Garcia-Lopez. But he kills the next three points, bringing up set point with a sweet serve volley and taking it as Garcia-Lopez nets his return. In a flash - and after a hit-and-miss set - Tsonga is a set up.

TSONGA 5-3 - BREAK! The Frenchman wins the first point against serve with the new balls. But he nets next time, to groans from the fans. Garcia-Lopez pulls clear but Tsonga kicks in with a super drive off the line. Then another winner and it's deuce. And break point as he returns with interest, bringing Lopez to the net and allowing a neat pass from Tsonga. But Tsonga overhits a forehand and deuce again. But a killer return is followed by another on second serve and it's game Tsonga!

TSONGA 4-3 Long from Garcia-Lopez, then a killer forehand from the baseline and Tsonga finally holds.

TSONGA 3-3 So the first break point tonight and it's for Garcia-Lopez... Great forehand on the line from Tsonga for deuce. An ace for advantage, but unforced error to go long. Break point again as Lopez fools Tsonga with a drop shot. That's his first real winner. Oh but what a serve down the middle. Then Tsonga bosses the next point as Lopez stumbles into the net, but he nets a backhand on second serve. Epic if error-ridden game.

TSONGA 3-3 Great flat return from Garcia-Lopez cons Tsonga into sitting too deep and he spins his backhand into net. 40-30 and deuce as Tsonga gets too much over his failed winner after a zipping cross-courter. The world number eight, seeded six here, uses his serve-volley but another bad miss on game point, into the net while approaching the net. And break point as Tsonga digs one long - challenge... just out!

TSONGA 3-3 The Spaniard is pretty dominant on his own serve, Tsonga unable to get anything meaningful on his returns as the match goes with serve.

TSONGA 3-2 The Frenchman kicks off with a wicked serve down the middle. And another. He holds to love, Garcia-Lopez not getting a look-in.
