Andy Murray looks to build on impressive performances so far when he faces Tomas Berdych in the Paris Masters quarter-finals.

MURRAY 6-4 6-7 4-6 - WINNER! Berdych wallops a forehand miles long at 30-30 to hand Murray a break back point. He misses with the first serve, but Murray raps the net trying to bury a forehand winner across court as the score reaches deuce. A big first serve that Murray can't return gives Berdych match point. He is long with the first serve before missing another forehand from mid-range. Berdych finally gets over the line after three hours and 12 minutes on his second match point.

MURRAY 6-4 6-7 4-5 - BREAK! Berdych with three break points as Murray's forehand seems to desert him at the crucial moment. Berdych wallops the net with a couple of mistimed shots. Crowd really getting involved as Murray serves at 30-40. Misses with the first serve before he hits the net with the second serve. A double fault, and Murray is in all sorts of trouble. Berdych will serve for the match.

MURRAY 6-4 6-7 4-4 - Murray getting a bit hot and bothered with a couple of expletives in the previous game, but he must feel like cursing in frustration after Berdych comes up with a couple of monster winners in holding to love. Dangerous times for Murray as he prepares to serve.

MURRAY 6-4 6-7 4-3 - Berydch slots the first two points of the game only for Murray to come battling back with a winning smash before his opponent cracks the net with a big forehand. Murray fighting hard, pumping his fists and is really looking in the mood for the challenges as he wins four straight points to avoid the break. Big game for Murray to get out of. Pressure back on the Czech player.

MURRAY 6-4 6-7 3-3 - Murray looks to have forced another deuce on the Berydch serve as he races across court to whip in a big forehand on the run. Berdych challenges the call, and the replay goes in his favour as he levels again at 3-3. Nothing between these men here.

MURRAY 6-4 6-7 3-2 - Murray unhappy about something after going 3-2, which he does with some ease in holding to love. Berdych looking the slightly more jaded figure. Murray desperate to find this break that could swing the match in his favour.

MURRAY 6-4 6-7 2-2 - Berdych saves two break points from 40-15 down. A booming forehand saves the first one before Murray fails to clear the net with a backhand seconds later. Berych was looking fatigued, but comes up with four straight points to avoid the break as he rattles a winner in that just clips the line. All square again as the tension mounts.

MURRAY 6-4 6-7 2-1 - Murray mixes up the pace and power of his shots superbly as he executes an exquisite sliced serve to close out the game. Berdych and Murray are each determined to make an impact on serve, and this set is very finely poised.

MURRAY 6-4 6-7 1-1 - Berdych responds with a gutsy hold after Murray takes it to deuce with a crisp forehand and a belligerent half volley down the line. The Czech will not be dictated to, and this set looks likely to go all the way again.

MURRAY 6-4 6-7 1-0 - Murray establishes himself in the third set with a solid service hold, and the second seed looks very fired up indeed as he throws the balls away and clenches his fist in determined fashion.

MURRAY 6-4 6-7 (5-7) - SET! Berdych has just too much for Murray in the tie-break as he slams a forehand cross court and the Czech thoroughly deserves to be level in this match! We're into a deciding set, and Murray will need to regather himself now.

MURRAY 6-4 6-6 (5-5) - An inspired string of passing shots from Murray sees him roar back and level this breaker up at 5-5, and the Brit has the momentum now.

MURRAY 6-4 6-6 (2-5) - Berdych wins three points on the bounce, and suddenly the Czech is in a very strong position in this second set. Can the number two seed find a response?

MURRAY 6-4 6-6 (2-2) - There is nothing between the two players as Berdych slams a fierce volley down the line after surging in to the net, and neither can stamp their authority on the breaker early on.

MURRAY 6-4 6-6 - We're into a tie-break! Murray holds his nerve under immense pressure from Berdych to close out the game and level the set up at 6-6. The crowd are really into this match now, and Murray can target the Berdych serve from the outset.

MURRAY 6-4 5-6 - Berdych holds with relative ease, and it's only a string of first serves which ensure that Murray cannot settle into the game and make his move. The onus now switches to Murray - can he hold under pressure to force a second set tie-break?

MURRAY 6-4 5-5 - Murray consolidates his break back with a composed service hold, and Berdych is really under the cosh now as he finds himself thrown out of his rhythm and now he must respond with a service hold of his own to prevent his opponent from charging away with the set and the match.

MURRAY 6-4 4-5 - BREAK! Murray roars to 15-40 with a flurry of stunning groundstrokes, and Berdych is faced with two break points. The Czech gets very lucky as he sees a forehand strike the net cord and wrongfoot Murray as he saves the first, but Murray breaks with the second as Berdych plants a tame forehand into the net!

MURRAY 6-4 3-5 - Murray holds his serve with a minimum of fuss, and he closes out the game with two big first serves which ensure that he forces Berdych to serve for the second set. Can the Czech keep his composure and close it out?

MURRAY 6-4 2-5 - Berdych moves to within a game of taking the second set as he pounds successive big serves down the T, and Murray cannot find the crucial break that he needs to get back on terms. Can the Brit at least force his opponent to serve out for the set now?
