MURRAY 3-6 4-6 - GAME, SET & MATCH! Murray takes the first point of the game, with a running forehand, to raise hopes he might be able to fashion a chance to keep this match going. But Berdych bounces straight back with three points to set up two match points. Only one is needed, though, Berdych bashing down a big serve that Murray can only net in return.

MURRAY 3-6 4-5 - Murray holds to love when Berdych nets a return to at least force Berdych to serve out this match. The Czech is yet to be broken today though...
-
MURRAY 3-6 3-5 - Berdych holds to love with a great lob to put Murray on the back foot, eventually drawing the forehand long across court from the Brit, challenged by Murray but confirmed as long by hawkeye. Murray will have to serve to stay in the match.
-
MURRAY 3-6 3-4 - A big forehand winner across court and an ace help Murray on his way to another hold, secured when Berdych sends a backhand return sailing well long of the baseline.
-
MURRAY 3-6 2-4 - Berdych again holds to 30 to continue his march towards the semi-finals in Cincinnati, a big serve out wide followed by a forehand drive volley and a high backhand volley deflected down into the court which even the fast Murray cannot get to in time to get the ball up and over the net.
-
MURRAY 3-6 2-3 - Murray does well to hang on to his serve as Berdych pushes once again. But a kicking second serve out wide is enough for seal the game when Berdych fails to get hold of his reply and sends his backhand whistling long of the baseline.
-
MURRAY 3-6 1-3 - Once again Murray comes close to challenging on the Berdych serve but once again he can't quite fashion the break point as the Czech player holds from deuce with a blistering forehand winner down the line that skids off the baseline.

MURRAY 3-6 1-2 - BREAK! A massive inside out forehand which Murray lands right on the very outside of the sideline is a great way to open for the Brit but he later throws in a double fault to allow Berdych to level at deuce. The Czech produces an inch-perfect backhand across court to bing up break point but Murray saves with by racing up to the net and putting away an angled forehand winner across court. Murray also saves a second but he sends a forehand long on a third and Berdych does break!
-
MURRAY 3-6 1-1 - A double fault from Berdych, quickly followed by a sesantional double-handed backhand winner from Murray. The Brit then brings up three break points with a backspinning backhand volley that Berdych can do nothing with despite being right there. But all three go begging, the last on a great second serve from Berdych, and the Czech number one conjures a great escape, holding courtesy of a netted backhand volley from Murray.
-
MURRAY 3-6 1-0 - Murray doesn't look super comfortable under the high ball but puts his smash back deep enough that Berdych is rushed into a netted backhand as the Brit holds to 15 for the opening game of this second set.

MURRAY 3-5 - BREAK! Murray is left furious with himself as he hands Berdych a break point on a forehand error. And a decent but not spectacular backhand return from Berdych is enough to secure the break as Murray nets a tame inside out forehand. Berdych will serve for the set.
-
MURRAY 3-4 - Murray once again applies the pressure to the Berdych serve but this time can only push the Czech to 30-all before the sixth seed goes on to hold with a big serve sliding out wide which Murray can only return into the net off the backhand wing.
-
MURRAY 3-3 - Murray wastes very little time in bashing out a love service hold to level up once again and put all the pressure back on the Berdych serve.
-
MURRAY 2-3 - Murray fails to take advantage of a break point when he fails to find the court with a forehand before Berdych complains the the umpire about the level of the music that can be heard from Centre Court during the change of ends over there. It is *very* loud and both players seem put off by it. Eventually, though, Berdych comes through a tough hold from deuce, sealing the game with a forehand winner.
-
MURRAY 2-2 - A tentative double fault from Murray hand Berdych two early break points of his own. The Czech squanders the first with a forehand long before Murray saves the second with an ace and the Brit goes on to hold with a decent serve that Berdych can only return into the net.
-
MURRAY 1-2 - An easier service game for Berdych the second time around as he holds for the loss of just the one point, Murray attempting to confuse the Czech with a change of direction forehand but instead not quite landing it.
-
MURRAY 1-1 - A swift love service game for Murray, to get his account underway. Four aces. Boom! Another emphatic start to the match from the Brit.
-
MURRAY 0-1 - A really tough opening service game from Berdych as Murray pushes him all the way to deuce before the Czech is able to hold with a huge service winner. Just like yesterday, Murray has started very aggressively.
