MURRAY 5-7 4-6 FEDERER - Federer hits a big serve to go 15-0 but then fires a forehand long. Another big serve sets up an unreturnable backhand but Murray charges the net to force the error and give him hope at 30-30. One of the rallies of the match is ended by Murray hitting the net as Federer chips and charges to bring up match point. Murray saves the first as Federer hits long but despite great retrieving, Federer hits a forehand winner to bring up a second which he takes with a forehand.

MURRAY 5-7 4-5 FEDERER - BREAK OF SERVE - Murray challenges on the opening point but it's in vain as Federer finds the line. A weak netted backhand and drop volley gives the Swiss 0-40 but a long forehand gives Murray hope. But yet another netted backhand gives Federer the break and he will serve for the match.

MURRAY 5-7 4-4 FEDERER - Big serving from Federer sets up 40-0 but Murray blasts a backhand winner to apply a little pressure. Another big serve sees Murray net and Federer holds.

MURRAY 5-7 4-3 FEDERER - An unforced error starts the game badly for Murray but Federer nets for 15-15 and an ace takes the Scot further ahead. Yet another netted Murray backhand puts Federer on terms at 30-30. A double fault at an awful time gives Federer the chance to break back but his attempted forehand winner goes wide. A long forehand from Federer and Murray ace puts the Scot ahead in the set.

MURRAY 5-7 3-3 FEDERER - BREAK BACK - Murray breaks thanks to two great lobs that forced errors from Federer. A first double fault and netted forehand put Federer in trouble at 15-30 but a powerful serve put him back on terms. Murray brings up a break point by rushing down a Federer drop shot and hoisted a winning lob and Federer can't get the second one back either. Never write him off!

MURRAY 5-7 2-3 FEDERER - Three unforced Federer errors on the backhand side ease Murray to 40-0 and an errant forehand gifts Murray the game. He definitely needed that or the writing was on the wall.

MURRAY 5-7 1-3 FEDERER - Sweet net play from Federer finds a great angle to take the opening point. A netted Murray forehand and service ace Federer eases Federer to 40-0 and he holds as Murray drifts a backhand slice well wide. Murray isn't playing well at the moment.

MURRAY 5-7 1-2 FEDERER - BREAK OF SERVE - Federer chips and charges successfully on the second serve and Murray nets to his frustration and smashes his racket against his foot at 0-30. A good pass up the line pulls Murray back to 15-30 but a poor drop shot sees Federer easily make up the ground to put away a winner and give him two break points. Federer successfully appeals against an ace and an errant Murray forehand gives the Swiss the early break.

MURRAY 5-7 1-1 FEDERER - Three big serves from Federer see Murray fail to get into a rally in the game and an easy forehand put away levels things up.

MURRAY 5-7 1-0 FEDERER - Two loose forehands from Federer ease Murray to 30-0 but a neatly dinked slice catches an approaching Murray off balance. A poor Federer volley takes Murray to 40-15 and a big serve closes it out.

MURRAY 5-7 FEDERER - SET FEDERER - Great serving closes out the set for a nerveless Federer. Three unreturnable serves get him three set points and a lame backhand wide gives the Swiss the opening set.

MURRAY 5-6 FEDERER - BREAK OF SERVE - Two unforced Murray errors at the start of the game gift Federer 0-30, the Scot drifting a backhand long. A mishit return drops kindly over the net to give the Swiss 0-40 but a long Federer backhand and big first serve pulls it back to 30-40 and Murray wants the same ball, Ivanesevic style. It works as he pulls it back to deuce with a great approach and volley winner. Two netted backhands gave Federer further break points and he breaks at the fifth attempt.

MURRAY 5-5 FEDERER - An easy hold for Federer rounded off with an unreturnable forehand after a great topspin lob winner from Murray.

MURRAY 5-4 FEDERER - A big forehand winner and two netted shots from Federer help Murray on his way. Despite a first double fault at 40-0, he rounds off the game with a big serve that the Swiss hits long.

MURRAY 4-4 FEDERER - A shaky start to the game for Federer but some big serving gets him out of trouble including a couple of aces as he holds to 30.

MURRAY 4-3 FEDERER - Some big serving helps Murray to a comfortable hold and he rounds it off with a big smash. A pivotal game for Federer now at the business end of this set.

MURRAY 3-3 FEDERER - Murray returns a mishit smash for a backhand winner and two unforced Federer errors gives the Scot a chance at 15-40. A long Murray backhand and a netted forehand gets Federer back to deuce and he holds with a neat drop shot to draw Murray in and put away an easy volley.

MURRAY 3-2 FEDERER - Murray holds thanks to two successful service challenges, the second proving to be an ace. A cracking backhand pass up the line seals the game.

MURRAY 2-2 FEDERER - Three big forehand winners from Federer take him on his way to an easy hold to 15. An unsuccessful service challenge means the Swiss has two remaining.

MURRAY 2-1 FEDERER - An ace rounds off Murray's second service hold. Both players really finding their range on the groundstrokes already. Murray holds on after two massive forehand winners from Federer as the game goes to 40-30. That shot is looking ominous.
