BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 5-7 6-2 CARRENO BUSTA - HE'S DONE IT! Bedene takes Carreno Busta to pieces as he breaks to love, earning three break points with a stupendous return ace, and as the Spaniard drags a forehand wide on the next point the Britsh player shouts in delight and jumps up and down. Great win, and it's a first-ever passage to a grand slam third round!

BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 5-7 5-2 CARRENO BUSTA - Just when he needs it, Bedene cooks up a brilliant service game in which his opponent barely gets a racquet on anything. Massive fist pump, and the third round beckons...

BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 5-7 4-2 CARRENO BUSTA - BREAK! Massive move from Bedene as he storms to a break of serve, with Carreno picking up only a single point. Two unforced errors laid the foundations, and a great shot from Bedene doesn't come back over on the first break point.

BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 5-7 3-2 CARRENO BUSTA - Terrific hold from Bedene after he slips 15-30 behind on his own serve. Another run to the net for a smash at 30-30 gives him game point and he backs it up with a forehand winner on the next point.
-
BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 5-7 2-2 CARRENO BUSTA - Simplest of holds for Carreno as he gldes through that game without losing a point, finishing things off with a gorgeous sliced forehand dropshot from behind the baseline. Lovely stuff.
-
BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 5-7 2-1 CARRENO BUSTA - Bedene looks comfortable holding there, despite his opponent taking advantage of a couple of weak second serves to claim a couple of points. But a darting run to the net at 40-30 sees the British player volley home a winner that draws a fist pump of delight.
BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 5-7 1-1 CARRENO BUSTA - Quality hold of serve from the Spaniard now, the only lost point coming as he makes his 7th double fault of the match, and the winner coming with a rasping backhand down the line that nips the net on its way through.
-
BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 5-7 1-0 CARRENO BUSTA - A comfortable hold for Bedene, with if anything the Spaniard looking a little off with his timing as he misses the sort of forehand he's been putting away with ease in the last two sets. Carreno's movement looks fine, though.
-
You have to feel for Bedene. On the cusp of his first ever spot in a grand slam third round, he lets a 2-0 lead slip and how he's forced to wait a good 10 minutes or so before getting under way in the final set. Will be hard to get his head right here.

Well this is odd: Carreno Busta is having a medical time-out, lying on the dourt while his physio gives him some treatment. He didn't look in difficulty. Let's hope we're not denied the exciting conclusion this match deserves.

SET! BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 5-6 CARRENO BUSTA - So close for Bedene as he earns two break points - one at 30-40, another after a deuce - while trying to force a tie-break that could give him a chance of pinching this set. But Carreno saves both, shaking his fist in joy as he does so, before finding a couple of big serves to put things beyond doubt. It's a fifth set decider!

BREAK! - BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 5-6 CARRENO BUSTA. What a ridiculous set this has been. It's breaks galore as Pablo hits back to regain the ascendancy. Can he make it count this time and serve it out to force the decider?

BREAK! - BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 5-5 CARRENO BUSTA. Magnificent from Aljaz. The Brit forces his opponent into the corners and denies him the decider, for the moment.

BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 4-5 CARRENO BUSTA. The GB starlet stays in it and secures the hold which means Busta must serve it out to take this match to a fifth.
-
BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 3-5 CARRENO BUSTA. It's looking like we could be going to a decider. Carreno Busta conslidates with an accomplished hold to 15. It's been a topsy-turvy set, but it seems the Spanish player has got a grip on it now.

BREAK! - BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 3-4 CARRENO BUSTA. Pablo hits back - and how! The Spaniard wows the crowd with a trio of backhand returns to tee up double break point before sealing it on his first with a venomous overhead.

BREAK! - BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 3-3 CARRENO BUSTA. Bedene has found his mojo again. A break to love is done in emphatic fashion. The Brit constructs some excellent tactical points with his forehand prominent in the execution.
-
BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 2-3 CARRENO BUSTA. A brilliant love hold from Aljaz.
-
BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 1-3 CARRENO BUSTA. Pablo keeps his nose in front but there are signs Bedene is getting his focus back.
-
BEDENE 7-6 6-3 4-6 1-2 CARRENO BUSTA. The Brit looks in all sorts of trouble as Carreno Busta snares another BP. But Bedene recovers with a lovely net volley and glorious crosscourt drive followed by an ace down middle T to stay in it.
