GAME, SET AND MATCH! - MURRAY 7-6 6-4 6-3 ISNER. A sixth quarter final berth at the French Open for Murray as he seals a straight sets victory in two hours and 40 minutes. He does it the hard way serving it out, saving BP with an ace and then firing down his fifth of the match to win it. He'll meet Gasquet or Nishikori next.

MURRAY 7-6 6-4 5-3 ISNER. The American does the business and forces Murray to try and serve out the match.
-
MURRAY 7-6 6-4 5-2 ISNER. Murray needs to call on the full repertoire to fight off two BPs and come through a big test. An ace at 30-40 gets him to deuce and when Isner ask another question he answers it with a probing forehand and controlled volley at the net. The Scot is one away now.
-
MURRAY 7-6 6-4 4-2 ISNER. Murray clocks up double break point but can't make it count this time. The Brit earns a third from deuce but Isner goes for the forehands into the corner and pulls off the hold. He looked resigned to defeat but has found a second wind of sorts to at least make this competitive. It had looked like Muzza was going to finish with a breadstick.
-
MURRAY 7-6 6-4 4-1 ISNER. The world number two consolidates to 15 and is closing in on a last eight spot. Not bad when you consider how unlikely that seemed in round one and two at certain points.

MURRAY 7-6 6-4 1-1 ISNER. Murray hits back from 30-0 down with an audacious lob but it's not enough to make enough impact as Isner closes out the next two points to level.
-
MURRAY 7-6 6-4 1-0 ISNER. John looks resigned to his fate. Murray has a spring in his step despite the occasional bout of anger. It's a simple hold to grab that scoreboard advantage once more. It played a big role at the end of the second as the pressure got to Isner. It could well do it again in the third if Muzza keeps playing at this level.

SET! - MURRAY 7-6 6-4 ISNER. He's done it! With one hour and 52 minutes on the board we finally have a break of serve and it's a decisive one. Murray has a two-set lead. He's been applying the pressure on the Isner serve and the American finally buckles. At 30-40 and set point the Brit picks up a dropshot with an angled dink and while Isner gets there, Murray is up again to volley the winner into the open court.
-
MURRAY 7-6 5-4 ISNER. A love hold seems simple but Muzza has a let off in the first two points as Isner wastes some good openings. The 15th seed needs to hold now to stay in the set.
-
MURRAY 7-6 4-4 ISNER. Big John is on the rack at 0-30 but thunders down an ace and goes on to take the next three points. He finishes with a sublime drop shot that completely outfoxes Murray.
-
MURRAY 7-6 4-3 ISNER. The American isn't getting close to Muzzard's serve now. The world number two feels he needs to break soon and wants to avoid the prospect of another mammoth TB, hence his irritation when he gets close but can't convert on the Isner serve.

MURRAY 7-6 3-3 ISNER. The Scot has another chance to break but can't force it through. Isner pulls out big serves when it matters and it leaves Murray once more berating himself.
-
MURRAY 7-6 3-2 ISNER. Muzza comes through unscathed after almost proving to be his own worst enemy. The Murray mutterings raise their ugly head at 40-0 as he double faults before slicing long. Fortunately he gets it together in time to force Isner to slap an attempt into the net.
-
MURRAY 7-6 2-2 ISNER. After the rain delay, the game resumes with Isner serving at deuce. Muzza immediately puts him under pressure and has two chances to break but can't convert as Isner nails three aces to take his tally to 12 and come through a tricky situation.
