Hello and welcome to live updates of the French Open round two clash between world number one, Novak Djokovic and Belgian Steve Darcis. The Djoker hoping this will be his year to finally land an elusive Roland Garros title.

GAME, SET AND MATCH! - DJOKOVIC 7-5 6-3 6-4 DARCIS. The world number one wins in straight sets - but it wasn't straight forward. There were a few blips along the way and he didn't seem all that comfortable. He serves it out to 15 and will meet GB's Bedene in round three.

DJOKOVIC 7-5 6-3 5-4 DARCIS. Steve saves match point to make deuce. The Belgian underdog has been a real pest for Novak today and he forces the Serb to serve again. On another occasion this would be nailed on, but this afternoon has been a strange one for world's best player.

DJOKOVIC 7-5 6-3 5-3 DARCIS. Nole hits a sublime backhand down the line and shouts enthusiastically at himself. There's a nod of approval from Boris in the stands. The Serb goes on to consolidate to 30 and is one away from victory.

Even the world number one has a shambles sometimes…

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 7-5 6-3 4-3 DARCIS. This time it's Novak's turn to take advantage of some frustrated play form his opponent. Darcis looks in control at 30-0 but allows the top seed back into it and can only look on in anguish as he gifts him the advantage once more.

DJOKOVIC 7-5 6-3 3-3 DARCIS. The world number one is forced to engage in a couple of lovely rallies but comes good for the loss of one point to level.

Another shirt swap for Nole.

DJOKOVIC 7-5 6-3 2-3 DARCIS. The Belgian gets his nose in front. Djokovic twirls his racket. The frustration continues to wreak havoc on his own game. More hard work ahead to finally shake off a resilient Darcis. The Serb has led the unforced error count in all three sets so far.

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 7-5 6-3 2-2 DARCIS. More errors from Novak and Darcis is back in this set! The Serb fires down a third double fault of the match to offer up triple break point and drops serve to love when he snaps a low volley into the net.

DJOKOVIC 7-5 6-3 2-1 DARCIS. Steve clings to Novak's coattail. The Belgian produces a superb crosscourt forehand winner from deuce to come through a tough examination after Djoker had worked himself towards an opportunity at 15-30.

DJOKOVIC 7-5 6-3 2-0 DARCIS. Novak consolidates from deuce. It's far from vintage but it's still too good for Darcis unfortunately for the Belgian.

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 7-5 6-3 1-0 DARCIS. Nole makes an immediate breakthrough and will hope to move up a gear or two to see this out in double-quick time now.

SET! - DJOKOVIC 7-5 6-3 DARCIS. It's another tough game for the Serb but he eventually gets the job done from deuce to move two sets ahead. It'll be interesting to see what he says post-match because he's clearly not too happy today.

DJOKOVIC 7-5 5-3 DARCIS. Nole thinks he has the set in the bag but Darcis hits back from double break point down to snare the game. Nole will have to serve it out.

DJOKOVIC 7-5 5-2 DARCIS. Nole not on fire here but doing enough it seems. The stats back that up. Only a second ace of the match helps him to a hold to 15. Darcis has given his all but an upset seems highly unlikely now. His real chance went begging at the end of the first set.

DJOKOVIC 7-5 4-2 DARCIS. The Belgian is hanging in there. Can he keep getting under the Serbinator's skin?

DJOKOVIC 7-5 4-1 DARCIS. Novak forgets his troubles for the time-being to surge through an easy service game. A two-set lead will surely improve his mood...

DJOKOVIC 7-5 3-1 DARCIS. Nole looking irritated. He's not happy with his own shot-making, his movement and is now turning his attention to the crowd who have thrown their support behind Darcis. The Belgian responds with a hold to 15 and is up and running in this second set but with still with it all to do.

DJOKOVIC 7-5 3-0 DARCIS. The world number one consolidates to 30. There are still issues with his decision-making but he's in the driving seat here and will be keen to keep Steve's spirits low.
