DJOKOVIC 6-3 6-4 5-1 VERDASCO: Verdasco has his hands on his knees, looking on the verge of exhausted, as he dredges up the last bit of energy he has in order to rally.

DJOKOVIC 6-3 6-4 4-1 VERDASCO: As one might expect from Verdasco, he's been somewhat inconsistent this afternoon, particularly on his serve.

DJOKOVIC 6-3 6-4 2-0 VERDASCO: Verdasco thinks he's done enough to break with a great forehand winner, but he hasn't. He shakes his head, either in despair or disbelief, maybe both.

DJOKOVIC 6-3 5-4 VERDASCO: Another lengthy game as Djokovic threatens to take that two-set lead, but Verdasco holds to force his opponent to serve it out.

DJOKOVIC 6-3 4-3 VERDASCO: But Djokovic breaks back, again to love, and now we get to see whether his serve action really is giving him some pain.

DJOKOVIC 6-3 3-3 VERDASCO: Sorry, Fernando. This is a break to love for the Spaniard, and Djokovic looks to be physically struggling on his serve for the first time.

DJOKOVIC 6-3 3-2 VERDASCO: The Spaniard stays within touching distance of Djokovic but doesn't look like getting that break back yet.

DJOKOVIC 6-3 3-1 VERDASCO: There's a bit of pointing and arm swinging from Verdasco as Djokovic holds.

DJOKOVIC 6-3 2-1 VERDASCO: The Spaniard at least manages to hold now, although he is still clearly not happy with himself.

DJOKOVIC 6-3 2-0 VERDASCO: Verdasco is still chatting away. He'd do better to concentrate on the man at the other end.

Djokovic isn't happy either.
