Good morning and welcome to our live coverage of the French Open third round match between Elina Svitolina and­ Ana Ivanovic. The players are on Court 1 warming up and we're about to get underway.

SVITOLINA 6-4, 6-4 IVANOVIC: Ivanivic just looked like she'd given up there, to be honest. 18th Seed knocked out by 14th seed. The better player, to be sure, but not the most entertaining match you're likely to see this tournament. Svitolina will go through to the fourth round.

SVITOLINA 6-4, 5-4 IVANOVIC: Svitolina is looking pretty tense, despite taking the last game. She's made this more difficult for herself than she needed to and a whole lot more so if she doesn't win the next game.

SVITOLINA 6-4, 4-4 IVANOVIC: And as it so often does, this dynamic has changed pretty quickly. Quite the comeback by Ivanovic.

SVITOLINA 6-4, 4-2 IVANOVIC: Ivanovic is making fewer errors now, and has given herself a lifeline after winning two consecutive games to get herself back in the set. The crowd are warming up now, too.

SVITOLINA 6-4, 4-1 IVANOVIC: Outclassing again, Svitolina could be close to nailing this match.

SVITOLINA 6-4, 3-1 IVANOVIC: You’d expect a tight contest between the 18th and 14th seeds and that is apparently what we’re going to get.

SVITOLINA 6-4, 2-1 IVANOVIC: Svitolina is coming into her own now and with another game under her belt and was looking like the stronger competitor, but Ivanovic has just effortlessly taken the third game with a very strong serve.

SVITOLINA 6-4, 1-0 IVANOVIC: Riding high on the confidence of taking the first set, Svitolina keeps it coming. Ivanovic has made a massive 18 unforced errors to Svitolina’s nine.

SVITOLINA 6-4 IVANOVIC Well defended by Ivanovic who looked like her number was up, at least for this set, as Svitolina lead by a couple of points. Ivanovic is paying for those earlier errors against Svitolina’s big hit.

SVITOLINA 5-4 IVANOVIC: Ivanovic gives away her advantage with an unforced error and another to hand the game to Svitolina who will take the set if she wins the next. It’s a bit sloppy from Ivanovic and you wonder how she might be faring if she were just a bit sharper.

SVITOLINA 4-4 IVANOVIC: Ivanovic comes back from a 30-0 deficit to take her opponent to a deuce, this could run and run. There’s no obvious feel for who might be the better player at this stage.

SVITOLINA 4-3 INVANOVIC: Svitolina holds her serve in response to Ivanovic’s awakening and breaks Ivanovic immediately afterwards. We’ve seen quite a few unforced errors in this match, so far, I’d like to see a bit more rallying.

SVITOLINA 2-3 IVANOVIC: Clearly I spoke too soon here. Ivanovic has woken up and made light work of her opponent to finally hold her serve. This could be where things start to get interesting.

Svitolina 2-1 Ivanovic: That was over a bit quicker as Svitolina again managed to break Ivanovic, if she holds her serve in the next game, this set could be over pretty quickly.

Svitolina 1-1 Ivanovic that’s more like it from Ivanovic who doesn’t make it so easy for Svitolina this time round, holding her to a deuce for an extended period, but she manages to break her at last to hold her serve. Just warming up, apparently.
