HALEP 7-6 5-2 DIYAS - The sixth seed moves to within a game of victory as Diyas pushes her to deuce, only to come up slightly short of securing a crucial break back.

HALEP 7-6 4-2 DIYAS - Diyas is not going away quietly and Halep is still going to have to work very hard to wrap up victory here. All very impressive from Diyas.

HALEP 7-6 4-1 DIYAS - Halep finally consolidates a break of serve and she is now able to stretch her advantage. The sixth seed is now just two games away from the match.

HALEP 7-6 3-1 DIYAS - BREAK! Yet another break of serve and this is getting slightly ridiculous with neither player able to demonstrate any rhythm or confidence on their own delivery.

HALEP 7-6 2-1 DIYAS - BREAK! Good lord, neither of these two seem able to get their teeth into the other this morning. The 22-year-old Kazakh breaks straight back, with Halep losing her serve to love in extraordinary fashion - two good winners from Diyas, two bad errors from the sixth seed.

HALEP 7-6 2-0 DIYAS - BREAK! An epic second game in the second set, going through four deuces before Diyas cracks, a pair of unforced errors seeing Halep come through to get her nose in front.

HALEP 7-6 1-0 DIYAS - Halep serving first in the second set, and she holds to love. Diyas will be bitterly disappointed having let that first set slip out of her grasp, can she bounce back?

HALEP 7-6 DIYAS - A very, very close-fought tie-break with the players matching each other pretty much shot for shot, but after 4-4 Halpep creeps ahead, Diyas making a couple of errors. At 6-4 and the first set point Halep misses with a backhand, but Diyas misses on the very next point and it's set over.

HALEP 5-6 DIYAS - Diyas holds serve to get her nose back in front. Can Halep do the same to force a tiebreaker?

HALEP 5-5 DIYAS - BREAK! Back as you were! Halep serves for the set, but ends up looking ridiculous as she loses her serve to love after yet more unforced errors. Impossible to see where this match is going right now.

HALEP 5-4 DIYAS - BREAK! A major turnaround from 4-1 down, Halep having won the last four games in a row to take charge after a poor start. The break comes with Diyas winning just a point in the game, a tame backhand off target deciding things.

HALEP 4-4 DIYAS - Yet another close one, as Halep gets pushed to deuce, but the Romanian charges the net at advantage and volleys home a winner.

HALEP 3-4 DIYAS - BREAK! A deuce game once more and this time it's Halep who comes out on top to get back on terms in the match, wrapping it up with a thumping shot that Ziyas just can't get back over the net.

HALEP 2-4 DIYAS - Halep settles the nerves with a much better game, holding to 15.
