So Rafael Nadal is through to yet another final (he's only missed one final since returning from injury in February and that was Wimbledon). And in that final he will meet Canadian number one Milos Raonis, seeded 11 at this year's tournament.

DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 6-6 (0-5) - TIE-BREAK! Nadal grabs an early mini-break lead, stretching Djokovic first one way and then the next on the baseline and eventually drawing the forehand error. Djokovic then puts a forehand long and a backhand wide to compound a shocking tie-break and leave Nadal with a 5-0 lead.
-
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 6-6 - Sure enough it will be a tie-break to settle this match as Djokovic also posts a love service hold, Nadal sending a forehand long to end the game. After a brief blip at the beginning of this final set, the quality of tennis is right back up at the highest level again now.
-
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 5-6 - Nadal does his bit to force the breaker, securing a hold to love when Djokovic goes wide with a lunging backhand across court. Djokovic will have to serve to stay in this match for a second time.
-
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 5-5 - Nadal nets a cross court forehand to help Djokovic on his way to a 30-0 lead before the Serb holds to 15 when Nadal's attempted forehand down the line just misses. This match looks to be headed towards a final set tie-break.
-
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 4-5 - Nadal scampers around the baseline before working up to the net and burying a forehand volley to level up at 30-all before an ace and a backhand return into the net from Djokovic hand the Spaniard another hold. Djokovic will have to serve to stay in the match after the change of ends.
-
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 4-4 - A stunning backhand passing shot winner across court from Nadal brings up two break points. Djokovic saves the first, Nadal very nearly makes the second with a running cross court forehand passing shot only to pull the ball just wide and Djokovic takes the let-off and goes on to hold.
-
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 3-4 - Djokovic can't find the forehand he's looking for down the line and Nadal holds to 30 to leave himself potentially just two games away from a place in the final.
-
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 3-3 - Djokovic drops the first point of the game before shaking his head like he's trying to clear it, maybe still thinking about being hit by that ball. It seems to work though as he moves easily through the rest of the game and holds to 15 when Nadal sends a forehand approach shot long
-
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 2-3 - Nadal leaves the smallest of gaps across court but Djokovic finds it with a cross court forehand passing shot to go 0-30 up. Nadal recovers though before adding more spice to the encounter with a backhand pick-up, off the drop shot, that hits Djokovic in the shoulder and bounces up into his face. Nadal didn't hit it that hard and he attempts to apologise after but Djokovic is clearly not happy. The Spaniard bangs down an ace on the next point to hold & the match goes on.
-
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 2-2 - Another blink-and-you'll-miss-it service hold from Djokovic to level up and keep this match rumbling on towards a barn-storming finish.
-
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 1-2 - Much more comfortable for Nadal this time around as he holds for the loss of just the one point, throwing in an ace to seal the game and sneak out in front once again
-
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 1-1 - Djokovic races through a much quicker service hold to get his side of the scoreboard ticking over in this final set.
-
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 0-1 - Nadal finds himself under yet more pressure as Djokovic levels at deuce by rushing the Spaniard into error on the forehand wing. But back-to-back aces from Nadal help him to hold without any more trouble and this third set is underway.

DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-3 - SET! There's a serious delay in the game after a challenge from Nadal shows the ball in, meaning the Spaniard still has three challenges remaining and the point be replayed. But the scoreboard ticks over in the wrong direction before umpire Gerry Armstrong has even called the score and it takes a while to sort out. In the end though, Djokovic serves out the set without too much trouble and this match will go to a decider.

DJOKOVIC 4-6 5-3 - BREAK! Nadal easily moves out to the forehand wing and fires an incredible forehand winner straight down the line. It leaves the Spaniard with three game points but an inside out forehand wide followed by a netted forehand gift Djokovic two points back before the Serb levels at deuce when Nadal goes wide with a backhand down the line. A forehand long from Nadal then hands Djokovic a break point. And Djokovic will serve for the second set as Nadal sends another forehand long.
-
DJOKOVIC 4-6 4-3 - Incredibly ball-striking from both players in a lengthy rally that leaves Djokovic puffing out his cheeks after Nadal eventually goes just long with a forehand. It brings up two game points for the Serb but he nets a forehand on the first to squander it. It's all worth it though as Djokovic takes a phenomenal final point with a reactionary flicked forehand winner across court after both players cover every inch of the court!
