After six years of enormous success together, Novak Djokovic has split from coach Goran Ivanisevic. The Croatian joined Djokovic's team in 2018 and has been credited with helping the 24-time Grand Slam winner to considerably develop his serve to be one of the best around. Speaking about who his next coach will be, Djokovic said he is not sure if "there will be one at all."

Novak Djokovic says he has no “clear idea” who his next coach will be after parting ways with Goran Ivanisevic.
The pair spent six hugely successful years working together, with Ivanisevic credited with helping Djokovic improve his serve on his way to achieving a record-breaking tally of 24 Grand Slam titles.
Djokovic announced the news of the split on his Instagram page, writing: “Goran and I decided to stop working together a few days ago. Our on-court chemistry had its ups and downs, but our friendship was always rock solid.”
The world No. 1 has now spoken publicly for the first time since the decision was made.
“First of all, Goran is my friend for life, mine and of my family’s,” he said.
“He is a very dear person for me, the end of our professional collaboration doesn’t mean that our friendship stops.”

Expanding on the reason for his working relationship with Ivanisevic coming to an end, Djoovic said: “Our separation has been positive, as positive as a separation can be. We have come to a point where we’ve exhausted our cooperation.
“Together, we’ve written history of our sport, we have won Slams, ended seasons as number one in the world, but we went through trials and tribulations as well – disqualification at the US Open, deportation from Australia.
“I will always remember that he was there for me as a person, as a human being, first and foremost, and that he brought the right set of values into our relationship.
“That kind of chemistry was followed by great results. I wish Goran all the best.”
Djokovic has had an indifferent start to the season, which included a semi-final defeat at the Australian Open and shock second-round exit at Indian Wells.
Despite this, the Serbian is in no hurry to bring in a new coach to replace Ivanisevic.
“I still don’t have a clear idea who a new coach would be, or whether there will be one at all,” Djokovic said.
“I’ve had coaches since I was a kid, now I am trying to feel by myself what I need, what I feel most comfortable with. You will be informed in case someone joins the team.”
