Good morning and welcome to the live text coverage of the ATP Tokyo Final. Britain's Andy Murray faces Rafael Nadal, for the fifth time this year.

Murray still has to play in the doubles final, with his brother, later on today.

It is Murray's 20 career title and he does it in style, beating Nadal 3-6 6-2 6-0. This is the first time he has beaten the Spaniard this year. The pair will head off to Shanghai now, to compete in the Shanghai Masters.

MURRAY WINS , the Scot take three championship points to become the first British champion in the tournament's 40-year history.

Murray has only dropped four points this set, as he goes one game away from the title. He will have to beat Nadal on his serve, if he hopes to do it on the next game. Nadal has only lost one set this year 6-0, in Doha.

BREAK: Murray reaches an almost unassailable lead, after converting three break points with a beautiful cross-court back hand. Nadal in a lot of trouble now.

Murray seems to be winning everything, even when he challenges the lines people. Murray sends a forehand down the line, to take the game 40-0.

Murray takes his fourth game in a row, to break Nadal again. The game looks to be slipping from Nadal's hands.

Murray produces some stunning gets and covers most of the court, to hold his opening service game in this last set. Murray is yet to beat Nadal in their four meetings this year.

Nadal hits the net and hands the second set to Murray. Murray looks in the ascendancy, as they head in to the deciding set.

Murray hold comfortably, as he absorbs everything the World No1 has to give. The Scot looks much more comfortable and will be looking to take the set, off Nadal's serve.

Nadal looks in a little bit of trouble, as he just about holds his serve. Errors creeping in to the Spaniard's game.

Both players looked to have the game within their grasp, but it was Murray who finally held the game. Murray saved three break points, with three stunning aces in a row.

Murray had Nadal on the ropes for much of that game and finally breaks the Spaniard. A tough game for both, but could the tides be turning for Murray?

Nadal keeps his cool to hold his first game of the set. Murray is making life difficult for the Spaniard, but he is still struggling to find a way around Nadal.

A change of shirts for Murray, but it seems to have worked, as he opens up his second set account with an ace.

Nadal runs Murray around the court to hold for the set. He had a bit of a wobble at the start of the game, to let Murray ahead, but he came back in style.

Murray puts the pressure back on Nadal, by taking a 40-0 game. He hits an unreturned serve to finish it off.

Nadal was forced to save a breakpoint, but did it well, by sending Murray off the court with a under pressure volley. Nadal is only one game away from the first set.
