Good morning and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE coverage of the French Open second round match between Sofia Kenin and Ana Bogdan. We'll bring you all the action as it happens at Roland Garros. The two players are out on Court Philippe Chatrier. This is Kenin's third appearance at Roland Garros having made the last 16 last year. The American is now a Grand Slam champion having won in Australia earlier this year. Will she be a contender to go all the way here?

Kenin is into the third round of the French Open, but she had to work for that win. The American got the job done with a forehand winner which caught the edge of the line. It took Kenin a while to get going, with Bogdan in control for much of the contest, but the Australian Open upped her intensity and turned the screw after that.

That last game only seems to have provoked Kenin, who grabs her third break of this deciding set. The finishing line is now in sight for the Australian Open champion. Can Bogdan pick herself up again? She just can't match Kenin's intensity at the moment.

Out of nowhere, Bogdan gets one of the breaks back. The Romanian showed great defence to stay in the rally on the break points at 30-40 and then ripped a backhand winner past Kenin. This one might not be over yet.

Kenin gets the double break and she has a firm grip of this match now. The turnaround since the mid-point of the second set has been remarkable. The intensity and weight of hitting from the American is proving to be just too much for Bogdan.

It's a Kenin break of serve in the first game of the third set and the American is accelerating away from the Romanian. Kenin has fought hard to reach this level, it didn't come easily at the start of the match, but this is excellent tennis now from the Australian Open champion.

Much, much better from Kenin towards the end of that second set. The Australian Open champion has found her forehand and that wins her so many points. As well as Bogdan has played, Kenin should win this if she can keep up this sort of consistency over more than just a handful of games.

Kenin breaks Bogdan for the second time in this set and will serve to level things up. The American has certainly cranked up the intensity of her play in the last few games, dictating things from the back of the court.

An immediate break back! Brilliance from Bogdan who dictated the rallies from the back of the court and broke Kenin to love. This match has become a real conundrum for the number four seed. She just can't accelerate away from her Romanian opponent who seems to have found her groove again.

Is that the moment that could change the direction of this match? It was a loose service game from Bogdan and Kenin made the most of that, with the highlight of the game a return winner. The American edges ahead with the break in the second set.

Bogdan pulls off her first ace of the match to secure the first set 6-3! Kenin quickly needs to tighten up her game here. There have been too many unforced errors and too many double faults. Bogdan started well, but generally hasn't had to be that good to earn this position.

Bogdan will now serve for the first set after a dreadful game from Kenin which included two double faults and two unforced errors. She skewed a forehand into the tramlines on break point. Just as it seemed the American was turning the screw, Bogdan has been handed a gift. 13 unforced errors from Kenin so far.

The Australian Open champion breaks back. Kenin's game in the early stages of this match is still very uneven, making seven unforced errors in just three games, but Bogdan's hitting went a bit wayward there and that opened the door for the American to get back on serve.

A quite incredible start from Bogdan. The Romanian brought up three break points with a sensational drop shot, outlasting Kenin in a rally and then a ripped winner past the American. Bogdan takes the third one and has an early break at the start of this opening set.
