SWIATEK 6-3 6-1 TREVISAN
GAME, SET, MATCH TREVISAN!
What a moment for the 19-year-old! She brings up two match points on the Italian’s serve and converts the first!
Halep’s conqueror is now a French Open semi-finalist, and she is beaming as she celebrates the win - unsurprisingly.
The favourite to win this tournament now? Simon Reed certainly thinks so on commentary, and she will now face Podoroska for a place in the FINAL. Who saw that coming?!

SWIATEK 6-3 5-1* TREVISAN
Knowing she’s just two games away from victory, Swiatek shows no signs of nerves as she races to 40-0. Trevisan wins one point, but a volley then goes long as Swiatek moves to 5-1…

SWIATEK 6-3 *4-1 TREVISAN
Trevisan drops her focus after losing a close call at 30-15, then a double fault gifts Swiatek a break point.
Swiatek tries too much though and her return on a second serve is well wide.
You can hear the flags in the background rattling and it looks as though Trevisan just acknowledges the noise too which will be ringing in their ears…. It’s Swiatek who stays switched on though and she breaks again to move closer to that semi-final berth.

A BREAK BACK!
Don’t count the Italian out just yet, she sure believes she can get back into this and she brings up two break points thanks to some positive play.
Swiatek saves the first with a courageous drop shot, then a backhand winner to take it to deuce!
A fault gives Trevisan a third break point of the game – just like the last game on Swiatek’s serve – and this time she does it! Swiatek into the net.

SWIATEK 6-3 *3-0 TREVISAN
EIGHT GAMES IN A ROW
A throw of the racket as Trevisan misses a routine backhand to offer Swiatek one break point… but she saves it in cool fashion, approaching carefully and then tucking away a volley into the corner.
But she cannot save a second! Swiatek prevails in another lengthy rally and Trevisan shakes her head as she heads back to her seat – only winning 42% of first serves this set despite getting 86% first serves in!

SWIATEK 6-3 2-0* TREVISAN
Swiatek sinks down to save a first break point with a backhand winner, and Trevisan then goes long with the second attempt to squander another opportunity. Just 1/5 on break points now, but she has another chance with the wind taking Swiatek’s shot wide…
INCREDIBLE reactions from Swiatek just as it looks as though Trevisan will break back with a backhand!
Back to deuce, Trevisan gets lucky with a net cord as her wide-looking shot bounces in, but it’s Swiatek who wins the rally and then holds a point later.

Awaiting tonight's victor...
An unseeded finalist is GUARANTEED. Incredible, but it has been a tournament - the tournament - of upsets.

SWIATEK 6-3 *1-0 TREVISAN
With a hop and a skip Swiatek celebrates an early break in this second set. Make that six games in a row now, and Trevisan must somehow arrest this momentum to fight her way back into the match.

SWIATEK 6-3 0-0* TREVISAN
Another set point saved as Trevisan powers down another forehand, she’s trying to gee herself up between points – and stay warm, most likely.
Now a third set point as Swiatek’s lob leaves Trevisan hitting into the stands, and this time she converts when the Italian goes wide! From 3-1 down the Polish teenager has taken the first set!

SWIATEK *5-3 TREVISAN
LOCKED AT DEUCE
The 19-year-old knows she is serving to take the first set in a Grand Slam quarter-final – nerves are understandable and she slips to 0-30 down and eventually 15-40. ‘Forza!’ shouts Trevisan, but the Italian cannot convert the first break point.
As the rain comes down Swiatek then saves a second when Trevisan goes down. Such difficult conditions out there.
Huge forehand from Swiatek brings up set point, but now it’s Trevisan’s turn to dig deep with a smash to stay in this set…

SWIATEK *5-3 TREVISAN
Too good right now! That’s four games in a row and suddenly it’s Swiatek who’s serving for the set and Trevisan who’s swiping at the clay in anger.
SWIATEK 4-3* TREVISAN
After a slow start, Swiatek has turned this around. She starts with a forehand winner from a short ball, follows up with an ace down the middle and secures a love hold as Trevisan nets.

SWIATEK *3-3 TREVISAN
Swiatek steps it up. The 19-year-old powers a forehand into the corner to force an error and then dominates the next rally and puts away a smash to earn two break points.
The first is a waste for Swiatek as she tamely nets, and Trevisan saves the next with an excellent forehand winner that catches the line.
Swiatek gets another chance as she hammers a service return into the corner and this time she breaks back thanks to a net cord that leaves Trevisan scrambling forward.
SWIATEK 2-3* TREVISAN
Trevisan is looking the dominant force so far; she is striking the ball much cleaner than her opponent. A couple of forehand winners get her to 15-30, but Swiatek claws herself back into the game and manages to hold.
SWIATEK *1-3 TREVISAN
Brilliant from Trevisan.
She drags Swiatek wide and then gets to the net to put away the volley into the corner. On the next point she expertly turns defence into attack, finishing with another winner, and then seals the game with an ace out wide.
She hasn't really got going yet, but here are some of Swiatek's best moments so far at Roland Garros...

SWIATEK 1-2* TREVISAN
A comfortable hold this time for Swiatek, who sends a serve out wide and then finishes off the short ball to get to 30-0.
SWIATEK *0-2 TREVISAN
Much better from Swiatek as she forces an error with a deep backhand and then arrows a backhand winner down the line to earn break point.
But Swiatek goes long and Trevisan shows excellent defensive skills before catching the outside of the line with a forehand to hold.

SWIATEK 0-1* TREVISAN
Nervy start from both players, with plenty of missed shots. It's Trevisan who comes out on top after a scrappy game to secure the early break.
It will be 19-year-old Swiatek to serve first...
