DJOKOVIC 6-2 7-6(4) - MATCH! - Federer moves within one point but it's all Djokovic from there, and he seals the straight sets win as Roger returns out of bounds. Fantastic performance to win in two sets over Fed in that form!

DJOKOVIC 6-2 6-6 - TIEBREAK 5-3 - Djokovic's brutal forehanders are wearing Fed down again, but he's able to return well for two of the next four points to stay within touch.

DJOKOVIC 6-2 6-6 - TIEBREAK 3-1 - Novak takes the first point from an exhausting rally before forehanding his way to a 3-0 advantage before Fed stretches the Serb to the point of a drop volley to pull one back.
-
DJOKOVIC 6-2 6-6 - Tie-break time. Federer appeared to be riding his momentum to a deciding set but from 30-15 is mowed over by the Serbian serve once again.
-
DJOKOVIC 6-2 5-6 - With the fans chanting 'Roger' all the way, Federer's second wind continues with a hold to love, finishing with a wicked ace.

DJOKOVIC 6-2 5-5 - BREAK - Federer flirts dangerously with the exit but his powerful forehand finds the line and saves the match point. And from deuce, Fed FINALLY breaks Novak's serve. It's all square after ten in the second. Fantastic fighting spirit on display.
-
DJOKOVIC 6-2 5-4 - Federer back to form on service - Djokovic fails with a between the legs shot to rescue a great placement from Roger which clinches the hold to 15 - but Novak will now serve for the match.
-
DJOKOVIC 6-2 5-3 - A 90-second love-service game means Novak has claimed 12 of the last 16 points. More importantly, it means he is one game away from the Rome Masters final.

DJOKOVIC 6-2 4-3 - BREAK - The end could be nigh. A sumptuous forehand from Federer rescues the first of a double break point, only for the Swiss to go out unforced and present his opponent with a serious chance of a straight-sets route to the final.

Will Federer force a deciding set? I'm keen to know what you think. Follow me on Twitter @liamhappe and tweet your comments. We will be publishing them throughout.
-
DJOKOVIC 6-2 3-3 - Djokovic's ropey second serve could prove to be an Achilles heel in this semi - but not yet. Fed moves 30-15 ahead with a net-assisted return and an inch-perfect smash, but is unable to capitalise further on the opportunities presented and Djok holds to 30.
-
DJOKOVIC 6-2 2-3 - Weakest game from the Serb so far. He is easy prey for Federer's slick second serve and a fluffed backhand volley attempt goes out to complete a hold to love. But for as long as Novak continues to hold his own serve, the top seed remains heavy favourite.
-
DJOKOVIC 6-2 2-2 - Djok continues to turn the screw with ball in hand and holds to 15. Federer isn't looking likely enough to find a break at the moment, despite some fantastic sporadic returns.
-
DJOKOVIC 6-2 1-2 - Federer holds again, but from his third hold point he is hanging on nonetheless in a powerful display from Djokovic.
-
DJOKOVIC 6-2 1-1 - Novak drops an early point but otherwise serves strong once more and caps the hold to 15 with an ace.
-
DJOKOVIC 6-2 0-1 - Federer escapes a break point with another unstoppable second serve forehand and nicks the hold off first advantage. After dropping a couple of games in that same manner, that's a good game to claim.

DJOKOVIC 6-2 - SET - Almost an excellent comeback from Federer to backhand his way out of a triple set point. But again Djokovic steps it up a gear from deuce and concludes a pretty comfortable opening set.

DJOKOVIC 5-2 - BREAK - After an engrossing and even battle over the first four points, the umpire rules Federer to have gone out over the line. He forehands his way out of the break point, but cannot escape the double-break on first advantage. Fed is in trouble.
-
DJOKOVIC 4-2 - Perfect service game in response from the Serb. No matter how well Roger holds, he is going to have to break THAT to stay alive in the first set.
